We all tend to hold onto things that have happened in the past. It can feel like we are pulling a cart behind us with all are troubles and worries; it slows us down, and we can become tired, depressed, even jealous, as life seems so easy for others. All we need to do is let go of the cart, and we will feel lighter and free, but often we have held onto it so long that it has become part of us. Many of the people we know are also carrying carts, so it can seem normal.

I loved everything about the book The narration, the short but meaningful stories that were very relatable, the encouragement that there's hope around the corner and that God has a plan through our hurts and disappointments and losses. The message that God wants to invest in us and give us something better than what's behind the closed door if we partner with him and stop looking backward and actively choose look forward to His best. I have enjoyed every book by Rev. Martin.

"The thought of pushing God away doesn't seem a good option; surely I need him on my side", is often peoples' first response. And, they are right, but this is what most people are doing each day. For some reason, they think it's okay to take matters of God into their own hands. They feel it's their right to worry, doubt, judge others, seek revenge or hold bitterness in their hearts. When you hold onto these negative thoughts and feelings, they slowly fill the mind and heart.

As usual, Rev. Martin has written a powerful book with a simple, to the point presentation. To read this book without letting God help transform the negative experiences of life into something new would be such a lost opportunity. Well worth every penny. I will listen to this book over and over. Thank you Reverend for allowing God to speak to us through you. I have enjoyed every book of yours I have purchased.

Love is important, but it is respect that is the key to your son's heart. The idea of moms respecting their sons may sound alien to some, but it seems to ignite curiosity across the board. It is easy to relate to the need for all of us to feel a mother's love, but is that the same thing as respect? Even for young boys, the effect of respect is nothing short of astounding when applied properly.

I am a divorced mom with a 13 year old son. He has a very kind, loving heart but we struggle daily with the respect issue, ie. getting things done when I tell him to, being honest about turning in homework, following house rules related to internet and technology. I am frustrated with our relationship and often feel like I am failing him when I tongue lash him hoping to negatively motivate him. Before reading this book I already new tongue lashing and taking away his phone or video games was not working. Now I know why. He thinks very differently because he is a male. His thinking isn't wrong, it is just different. This book has given me tools to approach him differently and I have seen great changes. I still resort to my female methods at times but just like any other habit, approaching him with respect speech is a conscious decision that is becoming a habit. I have hope that our relationship will be even stronger with these tools! I hope that as I start demonstrating respect speech to him he will seek out a mate that will not brow beat him and he will desire to respectfully love on a wife and bring her the security she will desire. Thank you so very much for writing this book. My mom raised 5 sons and she even commented on how great the content was! The narration is great as well, a very easy listen. I will play this book over and over.

What's in us comes out. If all we ever hear or speak is negativity, then when life pressures us, we're going to spew out toxic waste: doubt, fear, anxiety, and poverty. As believers, we must be so filled with a godly spirit, that when we are squeezed, nothing comes out but faith and Holy Ghost power. It's time to stop wavering in our faith and start living like we are positively sure of God's faithfulness. This inspirational 31-day positive self-talk declarations will bless you.

To be a good Christian is to pattern your life after Christ's teachings to the best of your ability. But many of us are often stressed out because we are bending over backward, catering to dysfunctional relationships, and dealing with life's challenges. If we want emotional peace and well-being, we have to work at it. We have to set boundaries and standards. We have to learn to put our emotional health first.

Great message with encouraging words. Bad unnatural narration that sounds like a computer with an annoying voice.
