All John Rain wants is to get out of the killing business. But with his discretion, his reliability, and his unique talent for death by "natural causes," no one is willing to let him just retire. So when an old nemesis from the Japanese national police force comes to him with a new job - eliminate Murakami, a killer even more fearsome than Rain himself - Rain knows he can't refuse. Aided by an achingly desirable half Brazilian, half Japanese exotic dancer he knows he shouldn't trust, Rain pursues his quarry into the heart of a shadow war between the CIA and the yakuza.

I love spy, action, military special forces and detective novels. The main character, John Rain, fits into all these categories and he's a hired killer. After being hired to do a job he finds himself in the middle of many different people looking for an item the dead guy had. Barry Eisler writes in a way that keeps you guessing who are the good guys and who are the bad until the very end. Mr. Eisler also narrates the story and does an outstanding job of it. His description of Tokyo is so good you could close your eyes and visualize so clearly that you feel as if you were walking the streets and seeing the sights yourself. Worth the credit and more. this is a series you don't want to miss out on.

this isn't just a love story, it is a great story that will draw you in from the first minutes. if you have ever had trauma in your life, you will feel close to Oryn. it may hurt but free you to feel there is hope to love and be loved. The narrator was amazing with his ability to give different voices to all the characters. Very few narrators can do more than 2 or 3 but I was happily surprised. I cannot wait to see more by Nicky James.

Turning Point is a bit different from the feel of N R Walker's other series. it is a great listen that you are taken in and heartbroken that there are only 3 in the series. Her other books are awesome and sexy and light and funny. This gets a bit darker but still has her signature gift. The writing and ability to pick the right narrator to the right books brings it all togethet. N R Walkers talent has no bounds. She can write a light love story, hot steamy love scenes, vampires, AI boyfriends and police dramas. One amazing author, many amazing books

Mostly, Lionel and Dog learn what it means to be a man.

in the first 5 minutes I was hooked. not only was this book funny it makes you see how stereotyping people can hurt them and make you take a good look at yourself. I loved the characters the writer brought to this story, each one had depth even though they weren't covered deeply. The author had a way of making you feel as if you know them and Joel Leslie brought them to life with their voices. I do have to say I want Lionel as my bff. Absolutely worth a credit

K.M. neuhold"s instincs are spot on again in the depth she gives her characters. The audio book gives you the pleasure of hearing Kenneth Obi bringing them more alive with the feelings he adds. The only downfall was I finished it too soon. I cannot wait to see who is caught in the web of love in book 3 of the Replay series.

This book touched me in a way I wasn't expecting. I have recommended this book to many parents with children 10 and over hoping this will impact their thinking. parents should read and discuss this with their children too. maybe me can start a change in the thought process before more young lives are ruined over actions that could have been prevented.

It began on New Year's Eve. The sickness came on suddenly, and spread quickly. The fear spread even faster. Within weeks, everything people counted on began to fail them. The electrical grid sputtered; law and government collapsed - and more than half of the world's population was decimated. Where there had been order, there was now chaos. And as the power of science and technology receded, magic rose up in its place. Some of it is good, like the witchcraft worked by Lana Bingham, practicing in the loft apartment she shares with her lover, Max.

Robb so this story was different than both her norms. i am glad I came back to it and liked following the different characters and circumstances. Don't give up it is worth the slow build.
