However, his altruism never seems to turn out quite as expected. Who knew doing the right thing was so hard? In between saving those who don't want his help - and the chaos that follows - he rescues a damsel in distress. She doesn't appreciate his heroic abduction, and, even worse, once Dyre gets to know the outspoken human, he entertains thoughts about ravishing her.

I guess I wasn't as enamored by this story. The characters didn't speak to me like previous books. The erotic scenes were too frequent and I wasn't in love with them. Just left me wanting.

Some scary-looking aliens have just boarded Fortuna Tau, our little asteroid mining station. Kordolians, by the looks of things. What the hell do they want with this floating rust bucket? What are they even doing here? Come to think of it, I've never seen a Kordolian up close before. They're huge and intimidating, with strange silver skin and pointed ears. They have freaky nano-armor, and they're packing a serious arsenal. We humans stand no chance against them.

I recommend this book. It has a decent plot, doesn't have instant love, but rather puts the General and Abbey in proximity and the magic begins. The narration was good and added some depth to the characters. Try it.

Like all the Bedwyn men, Aidan has a reputation for cool arrogance. But this proud nobleman also possesses a loyal, passionate heart - and it is this fierce loyalty that has brought Colonel Lord Aidan to Ringwood Manor to honor a dying soldier's request. Having promised to comfort and protect the man's sister, Aidan never expected to find a headstrong, fiercely independent woman who wants no part of his protection, nor did he expect the feelings this beguiling creature would ignite in his guarded heart.

I sunk into the old world as Aiden and Eve struggled though the awkward beginning to their marriage. It was a beautiful story that will take you back in time and find you cheering for Eve's lame ducks to finally sink into Aiden's heart.
This story has believable twists and will have you wanting more of their world. I wanted an epilog but had to be satisfied with the thought that both Aidan and Eve would live happily ever after. It was a joy to listen to the story and the narration was excellent pick it up. You won't be sorry.
