I can't understand why this book has so many good ratings. This book is a total bore. The plot is about is this man that sleeps with and disrespects many woman, until his life changes when "the one" comes along. Ok I have to admit I am a sucker for those types of romance books. However, this one is not at all beautiful or eloquent. It keeps going and going and Zzzzz. I couldn't stay awake. I got to the point where I didn't care about the characters didn't know where the story was going and could not bear another minute. I will be taking this one back. Please listen to the sample before you purchase because I didn't care for the narrator. He was not very emotional when emotions were needed ...to put it bluntly, he couldn't act. He was the final ingredient that lead to my somnolence.

I couldn't finish this one. I don't know why it was rated so high. The story in OK but most annoying was the narrator. You could hear her mouth sounds while she was reading the book. I couldn't stand it, it was too distracting.

A smashing, award-winning debut novel that introduces Charley Davidson: part-time private investigator and full-time Grim Reaper. Charley sees dead people. That’s right, she sees dead people. And it’s her job to convince them to “go into the light”. But when these very dead people have died under less than ideal circumstances (i.e. murder), sometimes they want Charley to bring the bad guys to justice. Complicating matters are the intensely hot dreams she’s been having about an Entity who has been following her all her life...and it turns out he might not be dead after all.

I have been going through Jeanine Frost withdrawl. I have spent too much money and listened to other books in this genre but have yet to find something that is even half a good as J.F"s books...Until now the content of this book is smart, funny and most of all entertaining. Lorelei King does a wonderful job with her narration. Her voice was nice to hear compared to the many "smoker" type voices in this genre. At last another aurthor I can count on.

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue - Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is - she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

Great book. If you liked Hunger Games, you will LOVE Divergent. It is not the same story by any sense, however, it does deal with a teenage girl in some sort of post apocalyptic american society. Not only is the main character learning about herself it makes you think more about your life and how you deal with your own fears and uncomfortable situations. I like books that make you think further than the story.Even though I am in my 30s, I loved and could identify with this book. Well done Ms. Roth.

I don't know how she does it but she did it again. This is a highly entertaining book full of passion, action, and suspense. I love the narration by Tavia Gilbert. She is absolutely one of the best. So good in fact it is hard for me to listen other books by other narrators. You can tell she has a true passion for what she does. Jeanine and Tavia make a great team. I have to say I loved this couple more than Cat and Bones. That is saying alot. Maybe it is Spade's smooth voice. I hope Jeanine writes more stories with these two.

I was hoping to find something much like Jeanine Frost books narrated by Tavia Gilbert. However, I was extremely dissappointed. I am sure the content of the book is good but I kept falling asleep. The narrator makes no effort to change his voice for other characters. In fact, he sounds like he is reading the news. I love audiobooks not just for the narration but the ACTING and there was none of this involved. I hope he doesn't get paid as much as the other narrators do because he is TERRIBLE. It seems as if he has no passion for his job and is doing it just to get paid. It saddens me to see he reads all of JR's books. They are probably pretty good but I will be missing out on them due his preformance.

When Lenina and Bernard visit a savage reservation, we experience how Utopia can destroy humanity.

Cloning, feel-good drugs, anti-aging programs, and total social control through politics, programming, and media: has Aldous Huxley accurately predicted our future? With a storyteller's genius, he weaves these ethical controversies in a compelling narrative that dawns in the year 632 A.F. (After Ford, the deity). When Lenina and Bernard visit a savage reservation, we experience how Utopia can destroy humanity.

This book is amazing. I love the fact that this master master vampire falls completely for this woman. The writing (reading) illustrated the strength of their love for one another is almost palpable. Jeaniene Frost has done it again. I do highly recommend reading at least of the first 4 books of the Night Huntress series. One can still understand the plot without reading the series but knowing the background and relationships with the other characters makes this book more entertaining.

Unfortunately, her gift from New Orleans’ voodoo queen just keeps on giving - leading to a personal favor that sends them into battle once again, this time against a villainous spirit. Centuries ago, Heinrich Kramer was a witch hunter. Now, every All Hallows Eve, he takes physical form to torture innocent women before burning them alive.
