Several surprises are waiting for Kyllan’s return. Trysuil, a Tantalarian he thought dead, is most definitely not lost to their people. The Phoenixes kept Trysuil in a state of suspended animation, until the time was right for him to rejoin his people in the future. In his position of power, he is known as the Adjudicator and answers to the Phoenixes. He serves as their judge and jury on Tantalus.

The Tantalus series gets even better with this new instalment that includes a huge twist in the usual M. A. Abraham style. The saga continues, where we find that all three species can work together if they are willing. Loved that Alena gets her mate back, that a wrong has been righted, Trysuil is the voice of the Phoenixes, The Adjudicator. So much going on and so much more to come. Looking forward to the next one.
A 5-star story that a sci-fi/fantasy fan can sink into with relish. It can be read as a standalone, but I would advise to start at the beginning to understand the world better.
It was a 5-star when I read it but listening to Mr. Callanan telling the story brought a whole new level of enjoyment. He has the perfect voice for the series, varied to match the personality, mood of the characters and he is consistent across the books in the series. I hope he will continue to do the rest of the them.

Joelle Gordon is leaving Chicago and her cheating husband to head for her hometown of Landon, Minnesota. There, she returns to the Shore Leave Café, the lakeside diner the Davis women have run for decades. Joelle's family, including her three teenaged daughters, Camille, Tish, and Ruthann, is made up of strong women who have long believed in a curse upon them - a curse that robs them of the men they love.

An interesting story where we get to go along and glimpse into a few months of Joelle's life after her heartbreak caused by her DB of a husband, spent in her family's loving circle, she steals a few moments happiness with Blythe. I was a bit disappointed, even though I understand why, she kept doubting herself until was almost to late. I hope she gets the HEA in the end. Loved the women in her family, their strong love and support for each other.
An enjoyable read made really good listening to Ms. Soudek's voice telling it. My first listen from her, she gives each character their own voices and her narrative is easy on the ear, her voice has a soothing quality I enjoyed. I am looking forward to more.

Karia can barely stand to be around herself, never mind others. She has been confined to the Aerie, until after the birth of her child, but there are limits to what she can do to pass the time. Mitchell understands, although there is little he can do about it. He doesn’t have the time to deal with her moods and needs. Only one, Alena, seems to know what to do to soothe her granddaughter as she enters the final stages of her pregnancy.

I enjoyed this short story, a look into the past where the followers of the Tantalus series get more background on some of the characters. Lessons learned from the past and changes for a better future are needed, luckily the new counsel is open minded. The usual twists we come to expect from the author are there making this an enjoyable read, same as the rest of the series.
It was great when I read it, but listening to it told by Mr. Callanan brought it to a whole new level of enjoyment. Love the voices he gave the characters, the passion he put in his every word. Looking forward to listen to the next one.

Josie Jackson is whisked further into the past, to the era of Vikings and the (almost) eternal winters of Norway. Carter, the mastermind behind her foray through time, reveals that she'll be remaining there for six years - assuming she survives the first winter. To complicate matters, Josie has an unexpected health condition, one that threatens her life more than the frigid cold, Viking raids, and wild animals.

I think this is the best in the series so far, even if it ends on a cliffhanger.... again. But what an end, I literally jump up and yelled WHAT??? when she comes face to face with her tormentor, who I got to hate as much as she did and it is revealed who it is really.
What an epic story this is, the few years spent among the Vikings, her unexpected discovery when she arrives there. Loved how she becomes stronger and more sure of herself, she survives some harrowing events, all because she has no choice really. Being a Mother too, I understand her resolve to do anything to protect. I was so happy when Batu found her again, but it is not to be ... again as she is whisked out of that time and placed in another. I hope SOUTH is coming out soon in audio because I have to know what happens next! I need to know WHY!
Ms. Yves comes a long way from the first book, her voice is perfect for Josie. No 'male' voices, yet all the characters are distinguishable with distinctive voice. Well done. I really enjoyed how she was able to tell the story and having it played in my mind so vividly.

She started from perfect. A star who shone brighter than the rest. But then fate took it all away. Now she's broken. A beautiful song with a fractured beat. But I'm still on the rise. Chasing a dream that she's already left behind. If I'm lucky, I can find my redemption in the spotlight. Destiny brought us together. Put her in my path. It started with a road trip. But somewhere along the line, it became a journey from here to there. Maybe she can help me. Maybe we can help each other. Maybe music is enough. Maybe. Every story deserves a soundtrack. And ours is epic.

Ms. Frost knows how to get me to tear up and in the first chapter too ... Logan kept me company on the way to and from work and found myself listening longer and longer, made me late too LOL With every book in the series I say the hero is my fave, but Logan is so special, he captured my heart from the beginning and I am glad he found his HEA with Tori. She is a strong woman whose been thru so much, she deserves to find love again. Great addition to the series.
I was glad to see Mr. Morgan was chosen to narrate this one too, but I was surprised on the switch to Ms. Erickson, she was perfect for Tori. LOOOVED the combination, great listening experience. THANK YOU!

Alyssa Wayne woke up with a start. She lay there holding her breath, listening intently to the quiet. After a tense moment, she let out her breath, relaxed, and was just about to turn over when she heard a soft scratching noise. The next sound she heard had her sitting straight up in bed. She was certain it was the click of the front door. She sat paralyzed with fear at the certainty that someone had just entered her apartment. She was equally certain it wasn’t her roommate.

This is a must listen! A great mixture of fun, suspense, mystery, a tad paranormal and a good dose of hot romance. Could not guess how this story will unfold and kept me engaged throughout. Loved the characters, Jordan not so much at times, his protective streak is endearing but when it borders into possessive jealousy, it gets a bit annoying, no wonder Lela gets mad at times LOL Loved hearing that Blake and Daisy finally got together. Getting to hear the rest of the Alexander Ranch characters was awesome. A great addition to the series.
Mr. Cole does an awesome job yet again. The various characters get their own voices, he switches with ease between them and gives his distinctive touch. Thank you for another great listen!

I enjoyed going along Josie on her next journey, this time to Mongolia in the 13th century. She is a survivor, that's for sure and doing her best to find her footing in the unfamiliar barbarian society. So many twists, situations where I was scared, elated or sad along with her. But yet again just as she makes peace with her lot and finds love again, it is crushed and taken away from her. My heart was hurting as she left Batu behind to give him a chance to survival and was chanting along her the message to Carter I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU! I hope he gets what is coming to him. The story is engaging and I cannot help wanting more. Going NORTH next ;)
Ms. Yves did a way better job on this story, I like the improvements from the last story. Her voices are versatile and much better used. The slight variation of Josie's voice from previous story is reflective of her situation in this time and place. Enjoyable listening experience. Looking forward to the next one.

I was intrigued when I read the blurb, I love time travel stories and I think it is a good start to the series. Not sure I would call it a romance, more like fantasy/scifi, even though it has a little bit of romance in it. Interesting mix of suspense, drama, old west & scifi. Josie made for a pretty good heroine the way she survived being thrown back into time despite having al the obstacles thrown in her way. I wish Taylor was not erased from history though. Lost one star because of the major cliffhanger ending and no warning.
My first time listening to Ms. Yves and she has a pleasant voice, well-suited for Josie's character. With more voice variations, more emotive presentation and better paragraph breaks would have been a 5-star listen for me. The style used would have been perfect for a more sedate story.

This book is a perfect example of my AHA moments when I think to myself why did I wait so long to get to it, it has been waiting patiently for a few months now, but life throws me curveballs from time to time. After listening to it, I know I am hooked to the series, good thing all the books are lined up on my iPhone YAY
Loved the story, the content feeling it left me with because of the HEA ending, despite the suspense that had me sitting at the edge of my seat while Gus was searching for Emma or her daughter and best friend. As the story unfolds we get to know the characters, their lives, their hopes, dreams and disappointments. Emma is such a great heroine and I like that she is not perfect or young and she gets her HEA afterall with Gus... He makes me believe they might exist. Loved Emma's BFF, Arlene.

Now for the voices.. OMG what a great combination!!! I loved them both, such a great variation and passion. Mr. Harrison's voice for Gus was so yum, fit him so well. Ms. Eby's voice is pure delight. I can't wait to start the next one in the series.

This book brings a major twist in the series, that I didn’t expect. An exciting continuation of the series where we find out more about Tantalarian history, a conflict on Mars and a positive outcome for all involved. This is the book where my BBF from the series, Kyllan really shows his skills as a leader and a negotiator. I recommend it and the series with 5 stars.
Mr. Callanan is brilliant with the new characters' voices and the seamless continuation with the voices of the characters we met in the previous audiobooks. Well done!
