There are few characters in literature more iconic than J. M. Barrie's Peter Pan, the Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up. Originally introduced in 1902 in another Barrie novel (The Little White Bird), Peter's story was expanded as a standalone novel in 1911 and since then has been memorably adapted for the movies, for television, and for stage.

Now, actress Lily Collins (The Blind Side, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones) brings new, youthful energy to Peter's magical adventures.

Lily Collins does a wonderful job reading this classic tale. I love this story! Listening to this makes me wish I hadn't grown up.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The story would have been good if there wasn't so much sexual filler. I understand that the main characters where attracted to each other but it felt like there was more time spent detailing the sex scenes than dealing with what the story was actually about.

I was expecting a twist to the normal Cinderella story, and a twist is what I got. What I didn't expect was the type of twist and the way Prince Charming's character was written. It is the classic fairy tale that means the science fiction twist we have all been waiting for! I can't wait to read( or listens to)the next book.
