From acclaimed author Sonny Brewer comes a remarkable novel, based on true events, that will touch the heart of anyone who has ever loved a pet. While Brewer is on a book tour in San Francisco, his golden retriever, Cormac, vanishes from their Alabama home. What follows is an extraordinary adventure, as Brewer travels door-to-door searching for information, only to discover the trail leads far beyond Alabama.

Engaging story

It took only about 10 minutes for this book to pull me in! Cormac is the story of a family and their dog, but mostly from the author's point of view. I found I couldn't wait to get back to the book and could have easily listened to it in one shot. The adventure is incredible and shows people's differing views of dogs as animals or parts of a family. A fun read!

The sample had me laughing out loud and this book became one of my favorites! I've listened to this six times and don't think I'll tire of it. A. J. Rochester has a unique ability to share her struggles in such an honest way, I found myself cheering her on. A must read that won't disappoint!

I loved the television show and thought the book could be interesting. I was delightfully surprised and enjoyed the entire story. The insights are hilarious! Having watched the show, I related to most all of his comparisons and respected the creativity more. (The show made was so easy and fun to follow-now I understand why.)

A great listen all the way around. The audio clips from live speeches were a great touch, as well. Enjoy!
