Vaelin Al Sorna, warrior of the Sixth Order, called Darkblade, called Hope Killer. The greatest warrior of his day, and witness to the greatest defeat of his nation: King Janus' vision of a Greater Unified Realm drowned in the blood of brave men fighting for a cause Vaelin alone knows was forged from a lie. Sick at heart, he comes home, determined to kill no more. Named Tower Lord of the Northern Reaches by King Janus's grateful heir, he can perhaps find peace in a colder, more remote land far from the intrigues of a troubled Realm.

What three words best describe Steven Brand’s performance?

Steven Brand's method of narration is just that. Virtually no voice acting, just narration. His style makes it difficult to determine which character is talking in a conversation because they all sound the same.

Any additional comments?

Don't expect this book to conclude the series. Ryan fleshed out some of the characters that were in Blood Song. Frentis has a whole story line that was the most intriguing and captivating role in this book. Princess Lyrna's role becomes more prominent. You'll see Nortah and Sella again. In addition, Ryan introduces a few new names and roles. Overall, I enjoyed the continuation of the story but, there are definite cliffhangers at the end. By the way, where in the world is Sister Sharon???

I was expecting a learning experience to help me understand Kabbalah. What I found in this audiobook was mostly the author's reminiscences of the cute things his kids did and said, fundraising experiences and his views on plastic surgery and similiar nonsense like that. When the author finaly got to teaching, he would inevitably lapse into some story or rememberence that distracted from the initial message he originally began. It was almost as if Kabbalah was an after thought. Too much fluff and fill, not nearly enough content. I found my mind wandering as I attempted to wait through his life stories that did not seem to add worth to the content. This is one of the few sources of Kabbalah learnings that frustrated and discouraged me. I've never written a review in my life. I'm deeply disappointed and will delete this book from my library.
