At first the reader sounded a bit robotic so I wasn’t sure I could hear this book but that goes away fast. This was referred to me by a friend so I knew it was good. Loved it! Great story, engaging descriptive writing, and wonderfully done. I really enjoyed this book and will listen to more by this author.

Silvio Dicristo is the product of a typical "old-school" childhood in Brooklyn, carrying with him the angst of growing up in the ever-changing cultural backdrop of New York City in the '70s and '80s, crowded by his Italian ancestry and stereotypically large, loud family. Now in his 40s, living on the opposite coast in seemingly picture-perfect California, SALutations! reveals a life of gratitude and joy.

This book has beautifully touched my soul. I cried, I laughed and felt heartache. Through every new story I found a new emotion and depth within myself. This book in a way, has waken me up to look in the depths of my own life and really paint bold colors and find so much more gratitude for my own happiful life. The way it is written really has you in the front row seat like you’re George Bailey taking a ride to witness parts of life. I can’t praise this book enough. Thank you for writing such a real and raw memoir.

Throughout her life Elizabeth Lesser has sought understanding about what it means to be true to yourself and, at the same time, truly connected to the ones you love. But when her sister, Maggie, needs a bone marrow transplant to save her life, and Lesser learns that she is the perfect match, she faces a far more immediate and complex question about what it really means to love.

What I love about Elizabeth Gilbert's writing is the fantastic ability to break concepts up in very digestible concepts that are relatable to you in whatever situation you're in. She's entertains. She's realistic. She's straight forward and inspires all at the same time. I needed this book. Thank you for sharing your work.
