A young couple buys a beautiful house by a picturesque lake in the Catskills, looking to escape the bustle of the city to raise their newborn baby. It is a perfect place for a fresh start. Except that nothing is ever as perfect as it seems. As autumn nights close in around their home, they learn that darkness takes many forms. And sometimes that darkness is hungry. New York Times best-selling author Jonathan Maberry delivers an unsettling Audible Original that will give listeners the Halloween creeps all year round.

God awful! I only have 6 minutes of this mind numbing book left and I have to tap out. I can't even for another second let alone 6 minutes. HARD PASS.

"The dead don't talk. I don't know why." But they do try to communicate, with a short-order cook in a small desert town serving as their reluctant confidant. Odd Thomas thinks of himself as an ordinary guy, if possessed of a certain measure of talent at the Pico Mundo Grill and rapturously in love with the most beautiful girl in the world, Stormy Llewellyn.

I first encountered "Odd Thomas" as a netflix movie. It was so unlike any other movie I've watched, I swore it played out like a book. To my surprise, it was indeed a book! An entire series in fact. Both book an movie were great from start to finish. I'm very excited to go on to the next book. It is everything rolled into one: mystery, thriller, action, drama, romance (not the boring mushy kind either), syfy, etc. Read it, listen to it, watch it, just engage yourself in this series!
