When Sylvester, the Duke of Salford, first meets Phoebe Marlow, he finds her dull and insipid. She thinks he is insufferably arrogant. But when a series of unforeseen events leads them to be stranded together in a lonely country inn, they are both forced to reassess their hastily formed opinions, and they begin to discover a new-found liking and respect for each other. But what Sylvester doesn’t know is that Phoebe is about to publish a novel - a novel in which all London will recognize him as the villainous ‘Count Ugolino’

This was a fun story but I can't help but feel the heroine was the biggest weakness. She is weak. she never really takes responsibility for her own actions or control of her life. Some how the hero always is portrayed as the villain for not responding better in the situations in the story. overall the story is a fun read despite the underwhelming character of the heroine.

Senior Chief "Harvard" Becker believes that there is no room for women in a combat zone. It's too dangerous, too tough, and with P. J. involved, too distracting. He might respect her sharp intellect and her shooting abilities, but he still doesn't want the responsibility of making sure she stays alive. But P. J. isn't a woman who backs down easily, and to her mind, Harvard has a lot to learn. She just doesn't expect him to be so eager to instruct her on other subjects, like trust, desire - and maybe even love.

. . . . what? Who approved that line? I'm not sure I want to read a story where the main hero thinks a 4 year olds skin is sexy. I really liked Prince Joe and Frisco's kid and had to struggle my way through the other books in the series but this is where I throw it the towel!

Airport Ranger volunteer Stacy Broussard expected a peaceful Saturday morning ride around the perimeter of Houston's airport. What she encounters instead is a brutal homicide and a baffling mystery. Next to the body is an injured dog, the dead man's motorcycle, and a drone armed with a laser capable of taking down a 747. Though FBI Special Agent Alex LeBlanc sees a clear-cut case of terrorism, his past has taught him to be suspicious of everyone, even witnesses. Even bleeding-heart veterinarians like Stacy.

Bound, kneeling before a queen whom he had hounded for a straight year, he should have been anxious. Or at least a little worried. Instead, a strange sense of relief filled him. It was over. His mad escape from Brindisi's justice was over. "That is a very calm expression on your face, General Darius Bresalier," she observed. Her tone was idle, but her eyes were as sharp as a hawk's.
