Many Christians today feel overwhelmed as they try to live faithfully in a culture that seems increasingly hostile to their beliefs. Politics, marriage, sexuality, religious freedom - with an ever-growing list of contentious issues, believers find it harder than ever to hold on to their convictions while treating their friends, neighbors, coworkers, and even family members who disagree with respect and compassion.

All Christian disciples have one thing in common: As they carry the Gospel across the ocean and across the street, persecution will become the norm for those who choose to follow Jesus. How believers respond in the face of persecution reveals everything about their level of faith and obedience. The Insanity of Obedience is a bold challenge to global discipleship. Nik Ripken exposes the danger of safe Christianity and calls listeners to something greater.

Many examples of how God worked through people to help others to know His love. When a need arose, many times, someone or something that could fill it became available.

Affirms that God works through us though we don't know how or have the means to do something. He accomplishes the tasks, not us. So, we just have to be receptive to what God wants and let Him work through us.
Great narrator.

"The central miracle asserted by Christians is the Incarnation. They say that God became Man. Every other miracle prepares the way for this, or results from this." This is the key statement of Miracles, in which C. S. Lewis shows that a Christian must not only accept but rejoice in miracles as a testimony of the unique personal involvement of God in his creation.

Providing an intimate window into a loving Muslim home, Qureshi shares how he developed a passion for Islam before discovering, almost against his will, evidence that Jesus rose from the dead and claimed to be God. The writer tells of his struggles from questions and intense research about Christianity to denial of it to more questions to prayer to acceptance and then his decision to become a minister to lead others to our most loving and marvelous Savior and Lord, Jesus.
He tells of all his research of many resources which reveal the Koran and other information the Muslims follow to be inconsistent and to not at all be what he and his loved ones had been taught. They are a very loving people but he indicates that it is not the Koran 's meaning that they follow but what they have told each other through the ages. Their God is the God of the Christians but they don't know Him as the Father who sent His son to earth to live among us and die and be resurrected so that everyone's sins for all time could be forgiven. Each of us must only accept that, believe that, and ask for forgiveness to be with Jesus, and all our loved ones that also accept, from now to forever.

This is an updated version for all ages retold in wonderful storytelling fashion. John Bunyan was a simple maker and mender of pots and pans who received very little education. In spite of that, he penned the most successful allegory ever written. Embark on a perilous journey with Christian, the lead character, from the City of Destruction to the luminous safe haven of the Celestial City. The journey will encourage you to “set your hope fully on the grace to be given you” amidst the obstacles of life.

Loved it. I finished it in two sittings. It portrays the struggles and joys of being a Christian. It shows how we should fellowship and support each other to strive to do the will of God. Also, how seeds planted in telling your family about Jesus will grow and develop until they all become Christians, too. And that though they may face troubles and make mistakes that as long as they look to the way of Jesus they will not be separated from God and will all be together again soon.
