I love this series, Kim Law is one of my favorite authors. I was really looking forward to this installment but I was so disappointed. Not by the story, I loved the characters, but the narration was horrible , it just didn't work for this kind of book. I wish I'd read it instead of listening to it on an audiobook.

It's been years since Kacey's seen her childhood friend Jake, but the minute Jake mentions his ill grandmother, Kacey is ready to do anything for the sweet old woman. And if that means pretending they're engaged for her sake - so be it.

This book really got on my nerves. I kept listening, hoping things would get better but they didn't. The main characters were in their 20's and acted like children. The banter back and forth was funny sometimes but in the most part irritating. The misunderstanding between the male and female characters was just ridiculous. The only good thing I can say is Tanya Eby was narrating and she is a favorite of mine. Not credit worthy in my opinion.

I loved the story, and the characters. I kind of had the hots on Tate too. But over and over, Tate, Babe, Tate, Babe. No one would listen to anyone and the incessant pet names drove me a bit crazy. We had many names really, Ace, Babe, Honey, Captain! 25 hours worth (I did listen to all of it though). I think if we cut out all the nonsense and shortened it - it'd be the perfect book. Humor, love, lots of great characters, sex and a little bit of mystery. Needless to say I just downloaded another Kristen Ashley book so I hope this is different.

Bet Me is a standalone novel from author Jennifer Crusie and I loved it! I read this book years ago and I had forgotten how cute it was. Audible had it in one of the buy one/get one sales, so I got it. I liked it so much better in the audio version. Ms. Hurst did a wonderful job narrating. I loved all the characters especially Min, she was a funny, mouthy woman who had some serious self esteem issues until Cal finally convinced her she was beautiful. The banter that goes on between them is so witty and endearing! I actually laughed out loud a few times. If you are in the mood for a light, funny and entertaining listen, I recommend Bet Me.

I bought this book years ago, and thought I'd listen to it again. I enjoyed it just as much as the first time. I love Debbie Macomber's books. I haven't found one I didn't like. This story is so real. I love all the people in Promise, Texas and thank Ms. Macomber for creating such wonderful people to read about. Jane is a Dr. who gave up her practice to raise her family. Cal is a proud down to earth cowboy. The difficulties in Cal and Jane's marriage are definitely believable; they come from small frustrations and careless moments, as marital problems so often do in life. I found myself siding with Jane, of course, but I can see how an argument get so out of hand that one feels like there is no turning back, and what it takes to be the one to start the communication going. This is real life with a happy ending!

I love all of Robyn Carr's books, she is one of my favorite authors. Let me say this is not a Virgin River novel! This is a sit on the edge of your seat thriller and kept you guessing until the end. I couldn't turn it off and listened until the wee hours of the night. From what I understand, this is an older book but there is no hint of that the story is very timely. The characters were very real and the narration was right on. Well worth a credit!

Jodi Picoult delivers the riveting tale of one small town's entanglement with high-school violence.

New York Superior Court Judge Alex Cormier is assigned to preside over the case of the alleged Sterling High School shooter. Lawyer Jordan McAffee represents Peter, the boy who, on the day of the shooting, was found in the corner of the gymnasium holding a gun to his head with a shaky hand. Detective Patrick DuCharme has one star witness, but her story keeps changing. And then there's the biggest problem of all: the star witness happens to be Judge Cormier's daughter.

As always Jodi Picoult deals with real contemporary moral issues. This one tells the story of bullying and its effects on the givers and receivers. It was painful for me to read because it is so true. Excellent character development of typical teen life in all its wonder and ugliness. I would highly recommend it to all ages. Would be a good discussion opportunity if read by parents and their children.

I love this author, I have always ;pved this author. She has penned some of my very favorite books but this one was a disappointment. It could be that I'm not a fan of paranormal writing. Witches, spells, missing souls and coverns are not what I expect in a romance novel. There were some bondage elements in this story that I did not expect or enjoy. Everyone want to get on the 50 shades bandwagon. I haven't given up Lisa's books but will read more reviews before I buy.

The book started out so slow and confusing with all the people in this story, I thought I may have wasted a credit. I kept listening and I am so glad I did. I really liked the charachters and I do mean charachters. Kara found out she was adioted and set out to find her birth parents. What she found was clearly unexpected. The story was sometimes sad, sweet and sometimes funny and it left me with a good happily ever after feeling.
