I'll never forget the first time I saw them, warriors moving like shadows from the trees. Their eyes seemed to glow with a fierce golden light, moving more like beasts than men. I trembled, every hair on my flesh prickled in the age old response of the hunted. They were predators and I was prey.

I'm a big fan of Lee Savino's Berserker and draekon romance books.

I was super excited to find her books on audible. Yay.

At first I was a little disappointed that there was only bad male voice but now I'm super happy about it.

He has a wonderful, growly voice. And of course the accent makes it seem more authentic and historical too.

I absolutely loved it. I hope Jacob stays with the peculiars forever. I really don't want him to have a double life like his grandpa. Sigh.

It was so unpredictable. It surprised me when I thought I could predict what was going on.

It's very addictive and keeps my attention no problem. And so sad the kids and the last Bird got separated.

Everyone in the city knows who I am: Vincent Citrione, top capo of the most powerful crime family in the city. If you’ve got two brain cells to rub together, you’re scared sh*tless of me. As for women, I give them the hardest, dirtiest f*ck of their lives before showing them the door. They know better than to expect more. Commitments? F*ck ‘em. At least, that was my motto until I caught her snooping in the wrong place at the wrong time. Aubriella. I wanted her to be like all the rest of the girls. I wanted to forget her. But I can’t forget her lush curves...

This wasn't the darkest mafia romance I've ever read, but it was good.

I was a bit annoyed with the girl's voice and how difficult she was being.

It was so intense but beautiful. Lots of drama and violence. A little overdramatic slu shaming in the beginning, but still good.

This is the love story between Stacie and Pashov.

Pashov wakes up from the cave in, alive but no memories from the last two years. He has forgotten his mate and kit. He wakes up to find that he is homeless and the world full of many human faces.

Poor Stacie is heartbroken. It takes her a long time to realize that they can make new memories.

A long time. They have a hard time reconnecting. Harrec helps, by making him jealous 😂.

Taking her to a cave helps, until a mother metlak comes. And they come home. Stacie forgot that she told him she wasn't ready for him as a mate. This the misunderstanding. They discovered eggs after a fight and crying, they made up and resonated again.

A lush, tropical island on an icy planet makes no sense. Then again, not much makes sense anymore after waking up and finding myself not in bed but on a strange world populated by aliens. Since that moment, I've learned that nothing is normal anymore and I've got to roll with the punches. I can handle this, though. I'm strong and capable. So...washed up on a tropical island? Got it handled. Stranded alone with a brutal but delicious alien man that can't speak English but has great...ahem...body language? Yup, handled.

I absolutely loved the beginning of Ice Home. It was loads of fun.

I did NOT like Marisol slapping Lo on the face when the sky claws came. Not one bit.

I loved that we got more world building and sa-khui history.

I loved how Lo lead the 3 tribes to Ice Home even though they were so doubtful. how happy she was to finally speak to her mate. it was really sweet.

I'm looking forward to Gail's story, the pregnant one and Hannah's. They're all so cute and funny.

As a newcomer to the alien tribe, I've struggled to find my place. It might be because I'm a tad headstrong at times. And yes, I might have thrown a few things at people's heads. But I had a good reason to pitch a fit - my shy sister was stolen away right under my nose. Of course, now she's back and mated. Everyone's happy...except me. I need...affection. Attention. Okay, I'm lonely. Really lonely. Strangely enough, the only person that I think understands what I'm going through is the same blue-skinned brute that stole my sister. It's wrong to hook up with him, even as a mindless fling.

This is the love story between Hassen and Maddie.

Hassen stole her sister and now she is attracted to him. and that makes her more angry. Everyone is afraid of her because of how mean she was when her sister was gone.

She feels like an outcast and can relate to him on that level. They become friends with benefits and hunting lessons while everyone is gone for a khui for Maylaks baby and for the fruit cave.

Shortly afterwards, there's the cave-in. And Maddie and Hassen go for supplies. And..... they found an abandoned city in kind of a canyon.

They literally save the day, but only if he's accepted back into the tribe.

Hassen doesn't realize how bad he was until Lilah forgives him after they resonated.

It was funny. I loved how Lilah thought he needed taming but Maddie loved him as is.

I loved that Kivian couldn't stand how inhumane she was treated. Still waiting for Prison Planet Barbarian.

When I wake up on the ice planet, I'm scared of everything: This place is cold, silent, and the locals look more like blue devils than aliens. To make matters worse, one of the strangers decides I'm going to be his girlfriend and kidnaps me away from my sister. I'm completely and utterly alone. What's a girl to do? Well, this girl escapes. Just when I have no hope left, a new hero appears. Sure, he's blue, horned, and has a tail. He's also fierce, protective, makes me purr...and thinks I'm perfect. But is what we have real or just a mating instinct?

OMG!

I loved it Sooo much. I loved how tender Rokan is with Lilah!

Lilah comes out of stasis without her cochlear implants. She's cold and deaf, surrounded by aliens that she thinks look like devils, and with only her sister for help.

Shortly after getting her khui, Hassen kidnaps her and takes her to a clean cave.

She was NOT impressed. She was terrified. She runs away, gets kidnapped by metlaks, rescued by Rokan, resonates to Rokan, inputs ASL into the elders' cave's computer, gets caught in an avalanche with Rokan, rescued by a metal, tends Rokan back to health. And right when she's about to mate....... her angry sister shows up, lol.

They return to the tribal cave and there's a party. A resonance party, plus she brought fruit. And finally, they mate. Maddie is sooooo NOT happy about it but she accepts it eventually.

He is so sweet with her and so accepted even with her disability. It is sooooo sweet.

This mystery was nice but a bit disappointing. le sigh.

At first, it seems black and white. It doesn't sound too unrealistic. Accidentally killing your girlfriends psychotic and jealous best friend.

But the ending was so disappointing. The romantic in me wished Allison and Will would get together after he got out of prison. Also kind of sad finding out he was indeed a killer.

The ending didn't give me the kind of closure I need in a good book.

Resonance. It's a given on the ice planet, forced upon you by the parasitic symbiont called the "khui". With resonance, a guy and a girl are paired up because they'll make great babies. It's a survival mechanism necessary for this sparsely populated world we're stranded on. Everyone expects resonance to happen when 20 newcomers are dropped onto the frosty world. I doubt anyone expects the gorgeous golden god named Ashtar to resonate to someone like me, though. But resonance seems to think we'd be great together. And Ashtar does, too.
