McCammon remains the greatest story teller of all time. Add that with Ballerini’s superb accents and beautiful voice and you have Matthew Corbett. The only complaint I have is the year I have to wait till the next in the series comes out. I can’t wait!!! Make it quick Robert!!!

Eve Hardaway, newly single mother of one, is on a trip she’s long dreamed of - a rafting and hiking tour through the jungles and mountains of Oaxaca, in southern Mexico. Eve wanders off the trail, to a house in the distance with a menacing man in the yard beyond it, throwing machetes at a human-shaped target. Disturbed by the sight, Eve moves quickly and quietly back to her group, taking care to avoid being seen. As she creeps along, she finds a broken digital camera, marked with the name Teresa Hamilton.

I have over 600 books in my audible library and Don’t look back is one of the best to date that I have listened to. Scott Brick has always been one of my favorite narrators, and after this book Greg Hurwitz is becoming one of my favorite authors. The number of emotions this book elicits is insane. Hurwitzs writing style is superb. I just finished the orphan x series and am hooked.

The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the Native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon came ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There went the good old days, when humans got killed only by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

Months after the war with Borland and his vicious were-brood, Kirk and Morris are experiencing curious after-effects. They're stronger, faster, and no longer vulnerable to the sharp sting of silver. There is one concern, however. They're forever hungry, and nothing they eat provides the same nourishment as what they consumed on the island of Newfoundland. And when a mysterious stranger rides into Moses Morris's territory wishing to hunt, the were-warden knows the visitor isn't after deer.

In Avenging Home, we see how the long-running battle between Morgan's people and their number one nemesis plays out. While Morgan thinks this is the biggest threat they face, there are things on the horizon he cannot yet see that are going to dwarf these problems. Morgan has lived in a vacuum. He's had little information about the outside world. While he's used radios to listen to what he can, there's been precious little real information.

I don't write too many reviews, but when I do take the time, it is for a well deserving treasure. Much of my anxiety these days, comes from the stress of finding a great audiobook. I have over 400 books in my audible library, and when I find a series I love I cherish every second of the book. This series is a great example of a book I savor, and stress over when it's almost over, due to the anxiety of finding another book I can immerse myself into with pure pleasure.
If you are like me, and find it hard to satisfy your high standard of audiobook exploration, check out this series, u won't be sorry.

The year is 1703, and Matthew Corbett, professional "problem solver", is missing. Last seen by his friends in New York before he departed on a lucrative, seemingly straightforward mission for the Herrald Agency in Charles Town, he's been too long absent. His comrade-in-arms Hudson Greathouse has an increasing sense the young friend he thinks of as a son must have met with some unexpected peril.

It is rare that you find a book that you try to listen to slowly, so you don't finish it to soon. This whole series is an example of that. I found myself trying not to listen for 5 and 6 hours at a time, but I just couldn't help myself. My only regret is that I will have to wait so long for the next installment.
Ballerini is one of the greatest narrators I have ever heard, which compliments one of the greatest writers I have ever read in Mccammon.
