Even though this is third in the series, it was just recently released in the US as an audiobook. Great story, and the narration was good. I have great affection for Louis and Angel as I have come to know them through the narration of Jeff Harding, so that was a bit of an adjustment. But I thought this narrator did a really great job with some of the other characters, unique to this book.

Narration was excellent, and really brought the characters to life. If you like dark, mysterious, psychological, unreliable narrators, you will find all that in this book.

Really good story and characters, The narration was spot on. If I'm being picky, the fact that most of the characters are from the previous books in the series, and it was hard for me to remember their storylines. There is still a storyline not finished. I'm assuming it will be in the next one. Hope it's soon!

If you like Linkwood Barclay, which I do, you will like this novel. Leaves room for the story to continue.

I'm not sure why some are critical of the narrator. He is as good as most. Anyway, after hearing the first in this series, I plan on going through them all. I love finding a new writer/character to follow.

I almost didn't get this audio because of the negative reviews of the narrator. Yes, he is no Sean Barrett, but he wasn't awful. It took a bit to get used to him, but he was fine. This book was almost a bit too convoluted, but just a bit. I find with this series, it helps to also have the digital ebook. There are many characters, and if I forget one, it is easy to highlight and do a search in an ebook. Plus, sometimes I just like to go back over and read certain parts.

Would you consider the audio edition of Nocturnal: A Novel to be better than the print version?

Great story really enhanced by a fantastic narrator.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes.

What does Phil Gigante bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The different voices for the characters were great. My favorite was Pookie.
