This is a sci-fi series that you are excited to continue on through each new book. I can’t wait for the next and the next and the next!

Many times that is find a future with fantastical concepts and ideas already. In this universe the author starts from today and we see a gradual building of concepts and ideas that lead to a very believable future and an enjoyable view of Science Fiction just ahead of us.

This is an interesting start into a series that I am looking forward to enjoying!

The voice actor did an excellent job with bringing emotions and ideas invoices to the story.

I love the world and setup of the Grim Noir storyline thatLarry has created. It’s the perfect blend of sci fi and fantasy and is so well written... start with the Orient Elite if you want a shirt story intro the the world, otherwise steady at book one and go through them all!

My review is about the reading performance however. Bronson Pinchot has a golden smooth voice for the exposition and such supremely unique splendid and colorful voices for the characters...it is pure pleasure to sit back and listen to the performance!

Haven’t listen to ring world, I was looking forward to a good storyline that was enjoyable, nothing complex nothing too deep in thinking, and this was a good fun science fiction ride. I found the story because of an article described extraterrestrials and good descriptions of the aliens that were different from humans. The best, I would still say are the ET‘s in the enders game series, but these are a good second. Two though, that Octavia Butler short story would probably be first. Anyhow this is a good story with good characters it might be old fashion and was written in the 70s, but it still enjoyable Starland

The story continues the journey and delivers the same thought provoking ideas that were enjoyable in the series.

I’m a huge fan of The Sci-fi works of Ian Banks. Too, though, I’m a huge fan of the audio work of Peter Kenny. I’d listen to him read a grocery list and would likely be thrilled with his phasing, tone and reading quality I’ve enjoyed in every performance.

So, did I listen to this book just to spend time with one of my favorite voice artists? Yes, possibly...

Did I enjoy the book and storyline? Yes, absolutely.

One thing that I did to add to the visuals I generated in my head was to imagine a slightly fantastic steam punk world... think Wings if Honneamise in how things were slightly odd and different... that applied well to the visuals in the Bridge scenes and kept me busy envisioning all of the elements Mr Banks created.
