Way too young, 11-year-old Tucker Creed and his six-year-old neighbor, Sylvie Bissenette, find they have something awful in common. Creed then decides he's going to do everything in his limited power to shield his Sylvie from her ordeal. So he does, and Creed and Sylvie form a bond that grows and blossoms with their ages. They plot to leave their lives behind, the town they live in that will hold them down, and the histories they share that, unless they break free, will bury them.

For a second in a series the book is pretty good. I really enjoyed Book 1 (Knight) and thought I would follow the series through. Not much excitement in this one but the love story was great. I’m following with Book 4 to see if the series still stands in excitement and steaminess. The summary to 3 doesn’t seem very exciting. But the author does a great job in keeping the books as stand alones. I would recommend the book!

The narrator, James Gillies, is a new favorite! He is a wonderful story teller.

This story is actually interesting but somehow not deep enough so I think it could be shorter. It is obvious that research was done to understand the climate of clans vs. Scotia. But I think the author skims the surface and there were too many opportunities missed! I’m glad to have heard the story.

So I got addicted to a series. I made it to the third book which is normally a real flop but this one is not! Tillie did a great job representing the MC and each of the members always plays a necessary role. I wished they didn’t refer to their old ladies as their bitches but you get used to it. Eager for the last book!

Sophie is quite whiney for an NYU grad working in a sophisticated magazine. But I love the love story. It sad that the writer spends so much time on her immaturity. 24 isn’t all grown up but she thinks like a middle schooler.

When I met him, he was just a gray-eyed stranger behind a mask. He turned my head when no one else did, and he upped the ante by showing me what I'd been missing when our tongues met for the first time. When I got to know him, he was still a stranger on the other end of the phone. He made my toes curl and my knees weak with his dirty words and dirtier suggestions. I was his wild ace, and he knew how to play me just right so that we both won.

He was my dad's best friend - and my first crush. Falling for him was bad. Flirting with him and trying to get in his pants the night of my 21st birthday party was definitely worse. But can you blame me? I hadn't seen the guy in years and he comes back looking hotter than ever. Our fling shouldn't have even begun but now that it has, I don't want it to stop. I'm crazy for this guy - and he's obsessed with me. Too bad my father will kill him if he finds out. So we can't tell him. We just have to keep it secret. Right? That might have worked...until he got me pregnant.
