Tulia audiobook cover art

Could have been much shorter...

Overall
3 out of 5 stars

The premise of this book was great. A good story was certainly told, which drew empathy from me. The book was so long with a lot of repetition and useless information (especially toward the middle of the book). A lot of 'courtroom lingo' is used throughout the end of the book, which was interesting. The audio track skipped a lot toward the end, which made it frustrating to listen to. Not the best true crime book, but I don't regret listening to it either.

Homicide Special audiobook cover art

Great narration, good story!

Overall
4 out of 5 stars

Homicide Special was a good listen. The information was great and certainly kept my interest. There was a lot of switching gears back and forth from case to case throughout the story, which made it difficult to follow at times (especially while multitasking when listening). The descriptions throughout the book were vivid. A good listen for true crime fanatics!

Ann Rule did a great job keeping my interest! The book was well written and well narrated. There was a wealth of information about the case, and Ann's ability to tell a great story was evident. The book elicited empathy and kept me wanting more. Great job!
