Here is an audio edition of the sacred text of the Latter-Day Saint movement that followers believe contains the writings of ancient prophets who lived on the American continent from approximately 2200 B.C. to A.D. 421. A fascinating listen for religious scholars and denominational adherents alike.

I bought this book in spite of mixed reviews. The reviews were correct. A couple great stories, a few good ones, and several made no sense and were difficult to follow. If your favorite author is part of this book buy it otherwise keep shopping.

Since time immemorial the Spires have sheltered humanity, towering for miles over the mist-shrouded surface of the world. Within their halls aristocratic houses have ruled for generations, developing scientific marvels, fostering trade alliances, and building fleets of airships to keep the peace. Captain Grimm commands the merchant ship Predator. Fiercely loyal to Spire Albion, he has taken their side in the cold war with Spire Aurora, disrupting the enemy's shipping lines by attacking their cargo vessels.

I was not expecting a story similar to the Dresden series but was expecting the quality. Maybe this style just isn't for me.

What would have made Tools for Survival better?

Some new info would be great

Would you ever listen to anything by James Wesley, Rawles again?

nope

Which character – as performed by Phil Gigante – was your favorite?

None N/a

What character would you cut from Tools for Survival?

N/A

Any additional comments?

Would be great if there was some new info. The author even refers to his previous books. If you have read them, you already know the info, if you haven't read them all you will be is confused. I freely admit I only got half way thru and gave up; so maybe it gets better, but I doubt it. Redundancy may be good for prepping, but its not good for books. Thought I was going to learn something, not just get a review of info already presented in other books!
