Anastasia Mikhelson is the rising star of the New York City Ballet. She's sacrificed creature comforts, a social life, as well as her own physical well-being for perfection in dance. Even her reputation as the Ice Queen doesn't faze her. Though Ana's at the peak of her career, competition from a new and noteworthy dancer puts all she's worked for in jeopardy.

I’d pushed off buying this book because I’m a big fan of Melissa Brayden’s series’s. I’m glad I’d gone through her entire catalogue. This is an amazing stand-alone story. The characters are believable and lovable. The addition of Adrienne and Jenna(Waiting in the Wings) throughout and even the cameo by Brooklyn and Jessica(Soho Loft series)was perfect.

The narrator was ok, but at times her inflections were off and her voices were indistinguishable. Felicity Monroe would have been a better narrator.

This was my first time with this author and I was pleasantly pleased. The story was great the characters were relatable and believable(often a problem in lesfic)
There were a few technical difficulties late in the book. The narrator mispronouncing and over annunciating at times was annoying, however she gave clear and discernible tones to each character. That was greatly appreciated and helped with the flow of the book.

Coming out is easier when you've got someone by your side. At least that's how the hyper-private Quinn Kincaid sees it. When her publicist suggests a good old-fashioned sham of a Hollywood relationship, Quinn reluctantly agrees. And that's how the star of Jordan's Appeal, TV's highest rated legal drama, ends up with a fake girlfriend - the very real, very sexy, and very gay soap star Lacey Matthews.

I’ve never laughed out loud to a book as much as I had with this book. I also found myself fighting back tears, of sadness and joy. The characters, lead and supportive, were so genuine. The situation was hard to fathom, but still believable. The strong language added to the believability.
The narrator was great. I loved the Boston accent! I would definitely recommend this book and I look forward to reading/listening to more of Elle Spencer’s work. The best audible purchase I’ve made, thus far.
