I really enjoyed this mystery, I loved the narration and this certainly made a drive much nicer. I like the interaction between the main character and her "police boyfriend" and I liked that there were a few surprises along the way. It was light yet got the animal testing message in there. I will definately listen to the others of this series.I received this audiobook at no-cost from Audiobookworm Promotions. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.

I absolutely love love this book. I'm listening to it on audible. I love Elise and her friend Lavina. I also love Elise and Brad. Basically I love the whole book. It's light, I find some humor and of course there's a murder that our dog-walker Elise needs to solve when Lavina is suspected of the murder. I can't wait to read the next one.

I usually don't read books that happen during World War II because I get too upset. I decided to try this one with the main character was a young boy who at first wanted to be one of Hitler's youth but changes occur. This book is different in that we see things from a German family. What do they think about this evil trying to take over the world? What do they do to survive? What does the young boy do. I have a friend whose family was from East Germany and I learned many things I had no idea of. I really enjoyed listening to this book, hearing about the people left in Germany. It's never enjoyable to think about what happened during this time period but this book was enlightening since it showed how hard it was to be German at the time also.
