You've lost your daughter. She's addicted to drugs and to an abusive boyfriend. And she's made it clear that she doesn't want to be found. Then, by chance, you see her playing guitar in Central Park. But she's not the girl you remember. This woman is living on the edge, frightened, and clearly in trouble. You don't stop to think. You approach her, beg her to come home. She runs. And you do the only thing a parent can do: you follow her into a dark and dangerous world you never knew existed.  Before you know it, both your family and your life are on the line.

As usual I was not disappointed, the story was great with its twists and turns, i do believe I am becoming addicted to Harlan Coben books my husband agrees with that not necessarily with a smile on his face. And the narrator Scott Brick has a way to make the story even more , how should I put that , exciting, dramatic oh well he makes the perfect narrator . So yes I would recommend this book .

I did like the story aside for the violence a bit to much for my liking. The narrator was fantastic. My favorite person in the story was Tess and the narrator portrayed her so well. Not my number one book of Nora Roberts and I have both read and/or listen to most of her books, and will continue to do so, since she is one of my favorite author. I would recommend this book , the ending was a complete surprise . So ok I can honestly say I enjoyed the book.

After the death of her adoptive mother, Ava Saunders comes upon a peculiar photograph, sealed and hidden away in a crawl space. The photo shows a shuttered, ramshackle house on top of a steep hill. On the back, a puzzling inscription: Destiny calls us. Ava is certain that it's a clue to her elusive past. Twenty-three years ago, she'd been found wrapped in a yellow blanket in the narthex of the Holy Saviour Catholic Church - and rescued - or so she'd been told.
