Meg Murry can't help but be worried when her six-year-old brother, Charles Wallace, announces there are dragons in the vegetable garden. He's so bright, and so different from other kids, he's getting bullied at school, and he is also strangely, seriously ill. But Charles Wallace is right about the dragons - actually a friendly entity who has come to help Charles Wallace fight his sickness, and to take Meg and her friend Calvin O'Keefe on a terrifying, wonderful journey into galactic space - where they must battle the force of evil to save Charles Wallace, and themselves.

this book was AMAZING
i read this when I was younger but now I understand it much clearer. It has an amazing plot and story line. EASYER EGG/SMALL SPOILER: the youngest ( charles ) said that IT sometimes call itself the happyiest sadist and if u didt know it means " a person who derives pleasure, especially sexual gratification, from inflicting pain or humiliation on others" I dont know why that is in a kids book but if u dont mind this one inapropreta thing... IT IS SUCH A GREAT BOOK

This book is so AWSOME .
It captures me in the suspense and I never want to stop listening
I think this book is perfect for all people
Mabel for children 9+ but is also good for adults
I like how descriptive and real it is
The only thing I dislike is how ( spoiler) they don’t revel the location or what happened to the other children like Camila or Gabe. Where are they!!!

Everyone says that middle school is awful, but Trent knows nothing could be worse than the year he had in fifth grade, when a freak accident on Cedar Lake left one kid dead, and Trent with a brain full of terrible thoughts he can't get rid of. Trent's pretty positive the entire disaster was his fault, so for him middle school feels like a fresh start, a chance to prove to everyone that he's not the horrible screw-up they seem to think he is.
