I’m dying. I can feel the life begin to fade from me. My body, which has been tortured for days, perhaps even weeks - I don’t even know anymore - will give up soon. And all I want to do is think about her. That smile. The sweet taste of her lips. The little sounds she made as she gave me the most precious thing any woman could give a man. The love in her eyes in the afterglow. She was mine then. And I would forever be hers. “Jos,” I groaned, letting the first tear leak from my eyes.

This story was so good and the narration makes it even better! The narrators for Tanner and Jos were great! This story focuses on the love story between Tanner and Jos, and continues the story of Angel’s Halo MC. Tanner appears in some way in the earlier books, so I knew a bit about him as a character. Jos didn’t appear until book 7, so little was known about her. I enjoyed learning the history between them and their motivations. The relationship between Tanner and Jos was a so real, heartbreaking and wonderful!! Additionally the outstanding problems facing the MC were all resolved and many former main characters made an appearance.

This series is amazing! I have re-listened to these audiobooks many, many times. Each story gets better and the narration is awesome!! Highly recommend!!

Fling is a stand-alone novella. I have a crush on my boss' best friend. At least it's not my brother's best friend. Or my best friend's brother. Or...never mind. It's all pretty cliché. And worse? My boss' best friend is his business partner. Which sort of makes him my boss, too. Okay - it's not sort of. It's definite. Gabe Laurent is off-limits. Totally off-limits. Which is fine. I make do with my imagination. He'll never know. Ever. Unless my work bestie passes me an '80s-style teen movie sex quiz during a meeting, and I fill it out. And it ends up in Gabe's hands....

Fling is one of my favorite audiobooks and I don’t know how I have missed reviewing it. I have listened to it at least a dozen times. The story is short and sweet and is one of my go to audiobooks when I need a guaranteed hilarious, hot read with a sweet HEA.

Gabe is my favorite Jana Aston Hero. He is smart, cocky, good looking and successful. Sandra is smart and sweet, but also a bit shy and awkward. Their interactions make me laugh, cringe and swoon. Preston, Gabe’s assistant and Sandra’s friend, is hilarious and an important addition to this story.

The narration is wonderful and adds to the story. Highly recommend!!

After a case of mistaken identity, Jessica finds herself in a massive confusion kerfuffle. She has spent her whole life paralyzed by the fantasy of Beau and her assumptions of Duane's disdain; therefore she's unprepared for the reality that is Duane's insatiable interest, as well as his hot hands and hot mouth and hotter looks. Not helping Jessica's muddled mind and good girl sensibilities, Duane seems to have gotten himself in trouble with the local biker gang, the Iron Order.

I ❤️ Penny Reid’s stories, and this is another great story! Duane and Jessica are a fascinating couple. Duane is a surly, quiet mechanic who has harbored feelings for Jessica since they were teens. Jessica is a smart, sassy math teacher with a desire to see and experience the world.

Initially, Jessica is not a fan of Duane because of pranks he pulled as a kid. As they open up to each other, their feelings evolve. I really liked that Duane was the one with unrequited love. I thought it was an interesting twist. Jessica’s wanderlust was hard for me to understand (I’m a homebody), but I thought it was explained well. I also appreciated how that one characteristic did not define who she was as a person.

The narration was wonderful. I forgot about the narrators because they really brought the story to life. The story has a lot of quirky parts (and characters!) and so many parts made me laugh out loud. The story also had parts that made me cry, smile and feel warm all over (even a few hot moments!). I fell in love with Duane and Jessica and their story. Highly recommend!!

They say love and hate are the same feelings experienced under different circumstances, and it's true. The man who comes to me in my dreams also haunts me in my nightmares. He is a brilliant lawyer. A skilled criminal. A beautiful liar. A bully and a savior, a monster and a lover. Ten years ago, he made me run away from the small town where we lived. Now, he came for me in New York, and he isn't leaving until he takes me with him.

This story by L.J. Shen was one of the first I read by her, but remains one of my favorites. Emilia and Vicious have a history full of lust, hate, misunderstanding, forgiveness, trust and love. The characters are imperfect and real, which makes them more lovable. As the story continues in the present, flashbacks to the past help to fill in what motivated the characters’ actions. I really like the dual POV.

The narration is good and helps make the story come alive. Highly recommend!!

This modern Cinderella story is full of angst-y goodness. Ella has had a hard life. She never knew her father, and her mother has died. Ella is 17 and alone, supporting herself as best she can. Her father’s best friend hires someone to find Ella after her father dies and takes Ella home to live with him and his five sons. The Royals may have money, but everyone is definitely not happy or even well-adjusted. The boys decide they dislike Ella and the rest of the school follows their lead. Things start to change as the boys grow to know Ella.

Ella is a spunky character with so much heart. The other characters become more lovable or deplorable as more about them is revealed.

This book is the first of three and does end without a HEA. The book was very entertaining and ended with enough of a cliffhanger that I bought the next book immediately.

This story was so unique. After being attacked, Clem wakes up with no memories of who she is. She doesn’t remember her loved ones or any of her previous experiences. She makes an effort to discover who she was before and who she is now. Her ex-boyfriend Ed helps fill in the blanks on before. Together they discover who they are together now.

The story was heart-wrenching because I felt sadness and sympathy for Clem. Who Clem was before is now gone, but Clem before was blessed with so many wonderful people and experiences. Clem after the accident is so lost, and yet so determined. She wants to uncover who she was before, but at times she is almost envious of the experiences of her previous self. She sees herself almost as two different people, yet people react to her as though she is still her former self. I found it fascinating.

Narration by Andi Arndt was great as usual.

This story was so cute. Maggie is a young woman trying to find her way to true love. She mistakenly believes that finding her true love has to happen in a specific way and that her ex-boyfriend is her love. She tries to change herself for him and along the way meets Sam. Sam has avoided love and relationships because of the poor example set by his father. He meets Maggie and helps her realize that trying new things should be for herself, not for anyone else. Their relationship is positive in so many ways. Sam and Maggie spend time together and feeling develop. Both of them have to question their beliefs regarding love.

There are several hilarious characters, in addition to Maggie’s shenanigans that had me laughing. And so many fishing jokes and puns!

The narration was amazing. Erin Mallon and Teddy Hamilton are both on my short list of favorite narrators. Highly recommend!!
