After Nightfall is a pretty good book. The plot is interesting and the characters are engaging. I would give it 5 stars but it's a bit repetitive. I also found the friendship between Lauren, Marissa and Jensen unrealistic. Once I questioned that part of the plot (which is repeated over and over), it doesn't make since for Marissa to investigate.

This might be an ok book for others, but not for me. I didn't like the way the story ricocheted between before and after. After all of the drama, the story was wrapped up with a neat bow in the last chapter. The reader is told what happened instead of letting the drama unfold until complete. I was unsatisfied.
