I totally get that the U.S. has caused a great deal of calamity across the globe at various points in time. But, to suggest that every business should make it a priority to serve others is absurd. People go into business to make money. Point blank. Unless they go into business specifically to serve as a charity or something similar. I think corporations should have a humanitarian, philanthropic sort of arm. But, to tell people that they have to run their business a certain way is ridiculous. That's where he lost me. Along with all of the bragging about how great he is.

Rain Oxford never disappoints and Furious Flames is another great addition to this saga. As usual, Rain left us on a delicious cliffhanger, but that's what makes her books so awesome!!! She and Todd Menesses are truly a dynamic duo and I can't wait until the next installment! As I always share whenever I finish one of her books and decide to leave a review, they can get a little spooky. LOL But, it's nothing you can't handle if you're not faint of heart. Lol Pick this one up if you're looking for a great listen, especially as Halloween approaches!!!

Another awesome title to add to my Rain Oxford collection. I never thought that I would really be able to get into the genre, but I absolutely love it! I have enjoyed every title in this author's collection. Most of Rain's works are pretty lengthy, so you really get to nestle in and enjoy a good adventurous story. The Guardian Series is fast paced, has just the right amount of creepiness for this genre and is superbly written. Todd Menesses does a great job narrating the audiobook, as usual, and I think that he and Rain make a great team.

This is definitely a good one to settle into over a weekend when you just want to veg out. But I know that I would have enjoyed it on a long road trip as well. Check Rain out if you haven't already and you only stumbled upon this title. But, definitely start with book one in the series.

Rain, add this one to the list of those titles you should feel proud of! Bravo!

I can't believe I only just discovered Brian Niskala! I really enjoyed Rhinehoth! I picked this one up using one of my free monthly credits, and it was awesome! First of all, Mr. Pennington's narration makes Brian Niskala's writing leap from the proverbial pages. It's excellent for this novel. I could barely get out of my car the last couple of days as I listened to this one in the gym and as I drove around running errands.

I usually try not to listen to books that have a more Supernatural bent at home alone, but I wanted to know how this one ended so badly I took the chance. Let me just say, I probably won't sleep too well the next few nights it creeped me out so much. I loved it! I mean, that's the whole point of listening to a novel in this genre, right?!

Anyway, you don't need me to rehash the storyline because the description gives you a pretty good idea about how things unfold, but picking up a copy is well worth it because the telling of the story and the fascinating twists and turns will keep you hypnotized. This could easily be turned into a movie! I'm glad that Mr. Niskala decided to offer an audiobook version. At 10 hours, it was very easy to digest over the last couple of days.

I am a big audiobook listener and this one is absolutely one of my new favorites. Definitely pick up a copy for yourself and this would make a great gift for the people in your life who love this genre as well. Bravo, Brian Niskala! Can't wait for the follow-up!

Kate Anderson is really the best thing to ever happen to books that offer advice and the audiobook offerings make her that much better.

I REALLY enjoyed this one, as I have all of her other work really straightforward and insightful. I could think of dozens of people who might be able to benefit from this book. I certainly did. I really hope that if you'te reading this review trying to decide whether to get it, you will. It's healing and it's very soothing.

Check it out!

I have been struggling to get over my ex for the better part of a year, but I can honestly say listening to this short audiobook has finally made me see that I have given him more than enough of my time already.

It hurts so badly to be dealing with this, but how much more am I going to wallow in this misery? I just can't do it anymore, so I started looking for books to give me some encouragement. I found this one and it has truly helped. There's a whole section of quotations that are meant to encourage and they were so great. I only wish it was a little longer, but there's so much healing in just these 30 minutes that I know I'll be listening to it over and over again. Thank God for this little book because it has truly helped me see that this doesn't have to last forever.

One note, Shana James does use some rather "rough" language in some parts lol, but I'll be honest, I think that's what helped snap me out of it. Day by day. I know I'll be able to move on, now.

I had no idea what to expect when I got this one using one of my monthly credits, because I had never read anything by Shana James before, but this writer is a beast! I did not want this book to end! I do agree that it seemed a little rushed near the end, but I suspect she was as excited to find out how the book concluded as I was as I was listening!

I don't even know where to begin to talk about how great this book was. I think that it is probably more a romantic suspense than it is just a suspense or thriller, but there so many gripping parts to the story that it could absolutely easily stand as a suspense alone.

One thing about the ending is that it will really make you examine your position about moving on after somebody has died. The thing that Shana James does so masterfully is the way she weaves the new guy in to the story, considering the drama that's going on in Heather's life. I mean, in the same scenario I think I probably would have done exactly what Heather did, so no judgement here. I mean what other choice does she have? Considering the situation. Excellent Book Club novel! I imagine the discussions could get quite heated. Lol

Anyway, I'm surprised more people haven't picked up on this one but I suspect that eventually they will. Phenomenal debut novel for Shana James and I'm glad that I was able to listen to it on audio book. Get this one! You won't be disappointed! I can't wait for the sequel!!!!!!

As soon as I saw the phrase "loyalty-free workplace" I just knew that I had to check this one out. Lori Rassas does a wonderful job of painting vivid scenarios of not only interview situations but also situations while on the job that could derail progress or turn your dream into a nightmare.

I found myself wishing that I could share this book with former colleagues so that they could learn some great tips about how to navigate the murky waters of that "loyalty-free workplace" Lori reminds us about. I think one of the greatest things people forget is that businesses are in place, generally, to make money. Lori's constant use of the phrase" loyalty-free workplace" really drove that point home. There is no loyalty, there's only the bottom line.

I really enjoyed the smooth transition between the two narrators. Sometimes, having two different voices in an audiobook can be a little bit jarring, but the experience was good. They each brought their own individual flair to the presentation and it was easy to follow along.

When I first saw how long the book was I thought to myself, Why will it take 5 hours to convey this information?" But, it worked out well. I found myself wishing that the book wasn't coming to an end. If you need some tips on how to get through the dog-eat-dog world of business this one is a good one. Check it out.

Rain Oxford has done it again! I have really come to enjoy all of Rain's work and Hungry Earth, Elemental Book 2 is no different. I had to take a few days longer to listen that I had expected because it does get a little creepy... Hehe... But that's what makes her writing so great. This book is another in a series and I definitely recommend that you try to start from the beginning in order to keep up with the storyline. But, you can absolutely start out of order if you pick this one up and realize that you haven't heard the other books in the series, yet.

I don't want to spoil anything because I suspect that there are more parts in this series to come after that ending(!!!), but Todd Menesses does such a great job voicing all of the characters. The many, many memorable characters Rain includes in the book. It's such a great, entertaining experience to listen in audio book format. I'm sure that I would love this one if I were reading it in Kindle format, but the book lends itself to audio book format so well I would definitely suggest picking it up for easy, on the go listening.

If you like the paranormal and a great mystery, you don't want to miss this one!
