My life was perfect - until a shocking tragedy pulled the rug out from underneath me. My children were left without a father. I was without a husband and a provider. Instead of wallowing in my grief, I buried myself in my work at Dovetail Enterprises. Landing the promotion as the CEO’s right hand was exactly what I needed. Getting saddled with Milo Huxley as an assistant is exactly the opposite. I can’t stand him. He’s arrogant, irresponsible, and out for my job. As if that’s not bad enough, he has to be devastatingly sexy, and have a posh English accent that makes me squirm on top of it all.

This was such a cute romance. Danielle, a single mom, widow and workaholic. In comes Milo, totally a playboy who is gorgeous and has an English accent. Danielle stays away from relationships, because she’s afraid of being hurt again. Milo never found anyone he was interested in having a relationship with....until Danielle. Oh, how I loved Milo!!! What a sweet guy. He was so kind to Danielle. He was so good with her children. He was like the perfect guy! But, he hadn’t been! It was only Danielle who brought that out of him, that changed him for the better. She made him a better man just by her caring about him and showing him he was someone special. He needed someone like that. No one ever did that for him. OK....Now I’m going to shut up before I tell you the whole story!! Haha!

I’d definitely recommend this to all those romance lovers out there. If you like swoon-worthy romance, you’ll LOVE this book!!!

Having read the entire Afton Morrison Collection, I was extremely excited to get my hands on the Audible version of it...

Well I can tell you I AM NOT DISAPPOINTED!! First I have to mention Kirstin James, she is INCREDIBLE!! I’m a singer, and I know about working your voice in and out of different keys. But WOW! What she does with her voice is mind boggling to me, it just blows me away!! She TOTALLY brought the characters that Brent wrote to life!! Afton, her character is important and she did her so perfectly! And OMG, Animus too!! I would plug my earbuds in at night sometimes and get so wrapped up in the story, that I ended up more than half the night. Bravo to her performance on every character!!

The entire Afton story. I love this story!! I love Afton and her messed up self. Her dark, twisted, murderous side and her loyal, caring, good hearted side. I’m an Afton FAN!! (Brent, we need T-Shirts or Mugs or something.) I love the whole Animus concept. And I love all the twist and turn and constant surprises. I wishes I could say more, because there’s a lot more I love. (OH, I love Twinkie!) But I don’t want to give too much away for new readers. But I will say that this is an AWESOME book, both to read and to listen to! Or do both, like me!!! I am really really hoping, FINGERS CROSSED, that there will be more Afton!! Maybe a spinoff, or something!!!

Highly Highly recommend this book if Psychological Thrillers are your thing!! I’m giving it as many stars as allowed, but it deserves stars upon stars upon stars!! You’re the best Brent, don’t stop writing!!

One morning, after a perfectly ordinary party, Tana wakes up surrounded by corpses. The only other survivors of this massacre are her exasperatingly endearing ex-boyfriend, infected and on the edge, and a mysterious boy burdened with a terrible secret. Shaken and determined, Tana enters a race against the clock to save the three of them the only way she knows how: by going straight to the wicked, opulent heart of Coldtown itself. The Coldest Girl in Coldtown is a wholly original story of rage and revenge, of guilt and horror, and of love and loathing from best-selling and acclaimed author Holly Black.

Loved this! I’m not usually into reading vampire books, but because it is Holly Black I figured I would give it a chance. Holly Black never disappoints, she is such an amazing storyteller. Tana was an awesome female lead! She was annoying and was this crazy badass chick either. She was a pretty average girl with a good heart, who was brave and loyal. Gavriel was my favorite character. He was an awesome vampire. So many of the characters were so well written and there were backstory chapters (flashbacks) that helped give the story more depth.
As for the NARRATION!!! WOW!!! Christine Lakin is really great!!! She really pulled me into the story!!! My favorite was the voice she gave Gavriel!!! The accent and the way she had him talk. PERFECT!!! She’s a narrator I will be looking out for more now!!!

One punch took him from Hollywood’s Golden Boy to Bad Boy Brody. The media didn’t care he was grieving his brother’s death. They descended on him, but to change his reputation, his manager got him a deal. Act in an indie film, one that already had Oscar buzz, and he’d get the movie roles he needed to secure his future. He took the deal. Yet he wasn’t prepared for the real-life people behind the script. He wasn’t prepared for the murder the movie was based on. And he really wasn’t prepared for her, the biggest secret of all. She was wild. She was beautiful. She defied gravity.

This story was really quite beautiful. The way these two broken people came together and healed each other. Brody and Morgan.

Brody had experienced something that pretty much crushed his heart. Instead of getting help, he drank and slept around. He got so bad that his reputation in Hollywood was at stake. He went from Golden Boy to Bad Boy Brody. That is how he ended up at Morgan’s home. It’s was the movie about her mother and Peter Kellerman (her stepfather) that was going to help start changing his reputation. But he was still drinking and still fighting his demons.
Then one day he saw a ghost...

Well, he saw Morgan actually. But the way she showed up and then disappeared, she seemed like a ghost. But actually Morgan was broken too. Ever since the day her mother was murdered. Her heart was crushed, and her way of getting help was through her pack of Wild Horses. But she wasn’t really healing, not truly.

It was so beautiful, so touching, but heartbreaking and upsetting too. These two beautiful souls had been through so very much, and had lost so much. But in the end they came together, they were drawn to each other. It was like their broken hearts spoke to each other. It wasn’t easy. It wasn’t easy at all.

*Side note...I loved Morgan’s relationship with the horses. The way Tijan described the activity of the pack. It was all so perfect. I could easily visualize all of it.

I knew it would end in disaster, but I didn't listen to reason. I didn't care. Because I loved him so much. Kalvin Kennedy ruled my heart. Until he destroyed it. Shattered it so completely that I became someone else. Someone I loathed. Someone who repeatedly lied to her loved ones. So, I ran. From him. From myself. Desperate to hide my new reality. But I could run only so far. When he reappears in my life, I'm terrified. Unbelievably scared of facing the consequences of my actions.

"If you love someone, really love someone, you stand by them, even when they’ve screwed up. Especially then. You forgive them for their mistakes"
― Loving Kalvin by Siobhan Davis

This is such a beautiful romance. It’s about two soulmates finding their way back to each other. It’s about forgiveness, understanding and loyalty.

Kalvin and Lana have been soulmates since they were children and it grew stronger as they got older, until Kalvin's mother put a stop to them seeing each other. But that connection was still there, even when they tried to fight it. They hurt each other many times.

Now in Loving Kalvin they are in college. Lana had run off and went to University of Florida secretly. Kalvin went there thinking that's where she went, because they always talked about going together, and he wanted to find her and win back her love. He knew they belonged together and was willing to try whatever it took to get her back.

Lana feels she's undeserving of Kalvin's love. She's made some pretty unforgivable mistakes and hurt Kalvin very badly. Even though he says he forgives her, she just cannot forgive herself. It doesn't help that she still isn't being totally honest with him and is holding back important information from him. The guilt is eating her up and making her feel unworthy of his love.

The whole story is so heartwarming and the lesson of forgiveness is a big one.
It’s such a romantic story. I became so wrapped up in the characters. The narration was good. Especially for the main characters. Some of the side characters sounded a little strange. But overall I really enjoyed the audible version of this book.

I’m flying high right now from finishing up this Audible and figured it’s the perfect time to get my thoughts down. This story had/still has my skin turning inside out (sort of speak). The action, the angst, the emotion, the twists & turns...I was feeling all Tori/Alinthia’s emotions and they were all over the place, poor thing didn’t know what to think, who to trust (including herself at times), she doubted her abilities, she became mad, jealous, possessive, depressed, insecure, constantly confused...being inside her head made me anxious, made my skin begin to itch, and I started to feel the need to pace back and forth, I kept wishing I had the ability to be able to hear the boys thoughts. Is there a reason that Tori/Alinthia hasn’t mastered that yet?

But, in this book Tori/Alinthia was brought closer to each one of her protectors individually. It was so nice to see each one of their personalities, and how they opened up to her, and at times they didn’t. But, of course there are complications and they cause a lot of worry and angst for Tori/Alinthia and the guys, and therefore we as the reader feel it along with them. I want to say more about this whole subject, but I can’t really, not without saying too much.

But I will say that there are some pretty intense scene! A lot of excitement! And Siobhan gives us more world building when Tori/Alinthia, along with her boys, goes on a trip! It’s a very exciting book, that goes by very fast. The romance aspect is taken up a notch in a way, and Tori becomes closer to her protectors.

Once again, as I said in my review of The Lost Savior, the narration is outstanding!! They really draw you into the story and make it come alive! I have enjoyed the audible of the two books immensely, and I was disappointed when they ended. I look forward to book three coming out, and eventually being produced on Audible. I hope they can get the same narrators!!!

Holy aliens!! I loved this!! Honestly I read this before listening to it, but listening to it WAS SO MUCH BETTER!!! And I never say that...lol. This group of narrators were tremendous, they totally brought this book to life!!!

I have read the first two books in this series, and now I’m listening to them, and I love this series and can really see it becoming a movie someday!!

It was so much fun in this book, seeing Tori discover she was an alien. Finding out she has four gorgeous alien protectors that she is bound to on a soul level ( oh my!). And then having to try and accept all this and balance it with her “human” life...and sooo much more happens that I won’t say, because spoilers. Lol.

I loved some of the sarcasm and humor in the book. Between the guys, it gets pretty funny. But even with Tori, when she was fighting she would get real sarcastic, reminded me of how Buffy the Vampire Slayer was when she fought. Lol!!!

This is a great series so far and I am really excited about what’s to come!! Don’t miss it!!!

I’m thinking of especially Kyler, who started out with a lot of problems. They also grow so much closer as a couple, it’s so beautiful.

This book in particular, was full of surprises, plot twists, lots of excitement and some pretty crazy moments. It really was a great wrap up to Kyler and Faye’s story.

It was really awesome to have Craig Van Ness narrating along with Sinead Collins! Having that male voice for when we were in Kyler’s head was great! I thought they did a great job and thoroughly enjoyed the audible!!!!

“I love you,” he whispers in that hypnotic voice I adore. “It can’t be wrong. It just can’t be. Not when it feels like this.”

When I read Finding Kyler, I felt that it was easily going to be the best book I'll have read in 2017. But then I read Losing Kyler, and I was proven so wrong. Holy cow! This book was amazing, it had it all and more! Finding Kyler ended with a major cliffhanger...I mean MAJOR!!! When I started reading Losing Kyler it picked right up where that cliffhanger left off and wow...talk about taking off at the starting gate!!! This book had plenty of angst, lots of twists and turns and even a few "What you talkin' about Willis?" moments!! I was taken by surprise a few times. Through all the Kennedy "craziness" it was very touching to see Faye become so close to the family and making them her home. I'm being very careful not to say too much, even though I want to tell you ALL about it. But you need to be able to enjoy the book the way I did, going into it knowing nothing. But I will say this, if you enjoyed Finding Kyler, you are going to LOVE this!!! If you haven't read Finding Kyler, what the heck are you waiting for?!!! Go read it now!!!

Tat was my review when I had previously read this book and loved it, but listening to it on audible was thrilling!! As I said in Finding Kyler’s Audible form, I do think having a male narrator along with Sinead Collins would be MUCH better, especially during the romantic parts. But Sinead Collins is outstanding to handle all those voices like she does. I LOVE her as Faye!!! I will always hear her voice as Faye!!! But I do have to laugh, I am from Massachusetts...close to Wellesley, where the Kennedy’s live. Listening to Irish Sinead trying to do a Bostonian accent is pretty funny. But I am quickly lost in the story and forget about it. The story is so good that you get completely lost in it. I loved it!! On to the next one...Keeping Kyler!!!

After the sudden death of her parents, Faye had to leave her home In Ireland and go to the United States, Wellesley, Massachusetts to be precise, and live with family she had never even known of before. She had to move in to the wealthy home of her Uncle (her mom’s brother) and his wife, with their and their seven very gorgeous and very messed up sons. Their family has above and beyond what the normal family has for problems. In comes Faye, who was an only child, and grew up in a well balanced home life. Faye is a great character! She is a strong and well balanced person, and she doesn't know what to make of this family and they don't know what to make of her!! As time goes along some of them come to really love Faye, especially Kyler. She starts to feel like she belongs there and feels loved.

Kyler is such an interesting character, with so many layers, or I should say walls. But Faye gets through, but only Faye and I believe she still hasn't quite gotten him stripped bare yet. But he is grouchy and mean on the outside but a softie on the inside. He loves and cares about his family. And he especially loves and cares about Faye. Deep down he has an immense capacity for love.

This book was delectable. Sinfully yummy. And a little taboo. I loved every bite.

I had previously read this book a while back, but listening to it was so nice!! I felt Sinead Collins did a great job as Faye, really great!!! But I would have at least liked a male voice in there for the guys. A full cast would be a dream! But when Sinead would do the male parts they didn’t sound very realistic. No fault to her. I couldn’t do the male parts either. I just think having a guy do those parts goes a LONG WAY to making, especially the romantic parts, more effective!!! But, because I previously read the book and I LOVE IT, I enjoyed it anyway.
