Oh sparks! Once again MacLeod Andrews hits it out of the ballpark with his performance! The story is really good, but slower than the other 2 Reckoners books, not as much action. I wouldn't say this was the best of the 3 but it is good and really worth reading if you are wanting to know the origin of the epics. By the end of the book, I was left wanting to know more of what happens next!

This is an amazing book! I found myself wrapped up in the story, the narrator Pierce Cravens does do a pretty good male and female voice, but when he tries to be Darth Vader of a Mon Calamari I couldn't help but laugh. Over all he does a superb job!!!

I'd recommend this book to anyone who wants to know the inner workings of the military aspects of the empire and rebellion. There is a lot of romance in this book but it only added fire to the story!!! Loved it!!!!

Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

Roy Dotrice is a phenomenal voice actor! There are so many characters is this book and he had different voices for each of them! The story keeps you enthralled from start to finish, and the way it is written every little detail immerses you into the world that the author has created! If you are a fan of this genre, you will definitely enjoy this book. For first timers, it will be a hard listen because the book uses a lot of Old English language that may throw you off course.
