Eeny, meeny, miny, moe. Catch a tiger by its toe. It's seared into Atlee Pine's memory: the kidnapper's chilling rhyme as he chose between six-year-old Atlee and her twin sister, Mercy. Mercy was taken. Atlee was spared. She never saw Mercy again. Three decades after that terrifying night, Atlee Pine works for the FBI. She's the lone agent assigned to the Shattered Rock, Arizona resident agency, which is responsible for protecting the Grand Canyon. So when one of the Grand Canyon's mules is found stabbed to death at the bottom of the canyon - and its rider missing - Pine is called in to investigate.

this is a new series from David Baldacci. I enjoyed it. Atlee Pine is an FBI agent assigned to the remote office near the Grand Canyon. She had a troubled past- her twin sister was abducted at six years old. the story is good a little farfetched -but that is what made it fun. Good book
Now we need a few of the other characters to show up in her books, John Stone, or Amos Decker.......

Ballard kicks him out but then checks into the case herself, and it brings a deep tug of empathy and anger. Bosch is investigating the death of 15-year-old Daisy Clayton, a runaway on the streets of Hollywood who was brutally murdered and her body left in a dumpster like so much trash. I really enjoyed this book. I liked hearing both characters doing their cases. They did not just work on the cold case. Renee kept up her job with LA PD and did other interesting cases, I like that Harry had her back and she had his. There was a couple of times it seemed to me Renee's fellow officers were slow to help her. Probably because she did report her boss for harassing her.

I am looking forward to the next Partnership. Harry needs someone he does not have to teach, and Renee needs support and knowledge

The latest installment in the Death series. I do enjoy the stories and the characters in this series, it did seem that Dallas used the f word more than needed this time. She usually curses but mostly when it works for the story. This time a little too much. It makes her seem uneducated when she does not use better words. She is still not very nice to her friends. Oh, she does grand gestures for them but resents every minute of it.
I understand she is a hard-boiled cop but after so many books and interactions you would think she would be maturing in her dealing with friends.

Good mystery. Sad mystery. Glad they got caught. The Oscar part was fun

This one is a slightly different. There is a need to go after someone but mostly this one gives more day to day glimpses to life on the trail. We get a little more of Little Bill and Miss Harmony and the town of Deer Run. We have more interesting characters through out the book. In all walks of life.

These are great books. I am listening to them and they are read by the author who does a fantastic job
