Nearly a year ago, blinded by grief and betrayal, Sam of Wilds made a desperate decision to follow the Great White into the Dark Woods. Now, he emerges to a world changed. The City of Lockes is a prison. The King has been locked away in the dungeons. The Kingdom of Verania has fallen, and the Dark wizard Myrin sits on the throne. But soon after his return, Sam learns of a resistance fighting in his name, led by a courageous knight, a defiant prince, a pissed-off unicorn, and a half-giant who wants to smash everything in sight.

I have to admit I was a little hesitant to listen to this one only because it is supposed to the last one of the series but as my headline states I loved this story. TJ klune is an excellent writer. I was connected to each and every character. I laughed, cried, and shouted with and at the characters, which was really awkward since I listened to this while I was at work. Michael Lesley did a phenomenal job bringing the characters to life. if my life was as exciting and emotional as a TJ Klune novel I would want him to narrate it.

At 40, Vincent “Vinnie” Fierro is still afraid to admit he might be gay - even to himself. Vinnie attempts some self-exploration in Chicago’s Boystown bars, far from anyone who knows him. Naturally, he runs smack into someone from the neighborhood. Trey Giles has little time for fun, let alone dating someone who swears he’s straight. Yet after one night of dancing cheek-to-cheek, Trey agrees to let Vinnie court him and see if he truly belongs on this side of the fence. It seems like a solid plan, but nothing is simple when family is involved.

I just loved this story. The authors did a great job with the main characters making it very easy for me to connect to each of them. As a gay man, coming out can be difficult process especially when it comes to family. They did a great job of expressing this making the story fell more realistic and relatable. I really enjoy Colin's performance. He made it easy to listen to and distinguish between the characters.

Glen and Tyler are young, in love, and the wealthiest human beings on the planet. But when Glen's brother calls from a jail in Paris - you guessed it - they're off to France to tangle with spies, neo-Nazis, evil world-spanning conspiracies, and French gangsters. Plus they have a romantic dinner, and find long-lost treasure. Really, it's a fun-filled, nonstop romp. In this third installment of the Glen and Tyler series, we meet up with our heroes a couple of years after their Scottish Troubles, a little more world-weary, a little wiser, and no less sarcastic.
