Wait, am I listening to WtCS or King of the Hill?

Predictable plot. Immature writing. Narration totally sounded like an episode of King of the Hill. I only finished it because I paid for it. Ugh.

Awesome bio on the life of Frederick Douglass. The man really came to life for me through the pages of this book. His wit, his despair, his success—all so real. Here’s my problem—Blight weaves a tale rather than providing a linear story of Douglass’s life. I found it hard to follow on audio. Was this 1895 or 1894? Douglass died 10 pages ago, why is Blight now writing of Douglass scheduling speaking events? If I had been reading a paper book, this style of storytelling would not be a problem for me, but listening to the text...the back and forth was a bit confusing. Still, a great read!
