Years before Trip Wiley could be seen on movie screens all over the world, he could be seen sitting in the desk behind me in my high school English class. This was back in 1990, and I cite the year only to avoid dumbfounding you when references to big hair or stretch pants are mentioned. Although, come to think of it, I am from New Jersey, which may serve as explanation enough. We were teenagers then, way back in a time before anyone, himself included, could even dream he'd turn into the Hollywood commodity that he is today.

I really liked this story. It wasn't what I expected. Nice to read a story with no major trauma as focus.
It's a remembrance of a teenage girl's Senior year and her relationship with her friends. One part was heartbreaking and showed her developmental stage of communication skills. Oh, how we all have been there. If you could just go back and redo a bad decision that you made because you listened to others and not yourself. Just went to the source and talked to them instead of playing into teenage insecurities and presumed knowledge, such wasted valuable time.
I really like the main character's attitude toward her future and the way she handles herself using humor. We get to see her grow up some before the story ends.
Loved the narrator, awesome job! Overall it is just a good journey.

I found it to be too "hopelessly romantic." There were just too many repeats of overused romantic wording. Almost felt like a young romance novel. But, I Loved the last part of epilogue and am going to try next in series hoping for improvement.

Murdered contortionists aren't exactly what Vivienne signed up for when she ran away to join the circus. But like most things under the big top, nothing is what it seems. With a past she can't quite remember, Vivienne finds that running away forever might not be as appealing as it once sounded - because forever means something quite different at the Cirque des Immortels.

This is such a roller coaster! Makes you think about all the ugly horrible people out there and then the amazing ones who fight back. Only one part made me really upset with story ( how much bad timing could keep happening ). I know it possible and used as a way to keep story going, but is just seems a little over the top at times. Other than that, great book.
