Whether it's fast cars or fast women, Stefano Ferraro gets what he wants. When he's not fodder for the paparazzi, he commands Ferraro family businesses - both legitimate and illegitimate. While their criminal activity is simply a rumor yet to be proven, no one knows the real truth. The Ferraros are a family of shadow riders capable of manipulating light and dark, an ability Stefano thought ran in his family alone - until now.

Another annoying FMC

Overall

FMC has no trust in the justice system but questions her beau's job of taking justice in his own hands instead of relying on the same system she distrusts. Her life is in constant danger but refuse to accept the protection she is provided. There are a number of other things that annoyed me to no ends about her but I do not want to spoil this for others.

For 21-year-old Sydney, being in love with Kyler isn't anything new. They'd been best friends ever since he pushed her down on the playground and she made him eat a mud pie. Somewhere over the years, she fell for him and fell hard. The big problem with that? Kyler puts the man in man-whore. He's never stayed with a girl longer than a few nights, and with it being their last year in college, Syd doesn't want to risk their friendship by declaring her love.

He stole her off the streets in broad daylight - the first omega discovered in Bernard Dome in generations. He took her with violence while none intervened. He broke her, swearing he’d put her back together. Brenya Perin was ordered to submit. Bernard Dome is the jewel of Europe, a bastion of art and culture, pleasure and decadence. But life in the city depends on the occupation chosen for you at birth. There is no subversion, no question of who rules. There is no freedom. Peace has a price, a price the Commodore of Bernard Dome is willing to pay...so long as the omega remains his.

The h and her constant b***y attitude, questioning in moments she just needs to shut the hell up and do as told, and lack of using her own common sense (due to lack thereof at times).

The storyline is a goodone but Mads nearly ruined it for me.

Narration was one of the worst I have come across. she did not give life to those characters. It sounded like storytime. Her pronounciation of 'again' made my hackles rise. Her speaking the male voices was a nightmare! Her reading the sex scenes was cringe worthy!!

This story was not dark and had absolutely nothing to do with mafia romance!!

There were multiple times, I questioned whether the author was aware of a female's anatomy. There was a scene where the h said she preferred being taken from behind because her clit would receive a proper rub if his manhood was big enough...!

All in all, definitely not worth a credit. I am definitely making sure never to purchase an audiobook eith this narrator EVER again.
