What did you love best about Secret Things?

Sky dance was wonderfully executed, and easily my favorite story in this anthology.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Probably Lu from Chemistry, as it really adds to her character in the books, and introduces exactly how she earns her shop.

What does Abigail Hilton bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

With full narration, music, and inflection, you would probably miss something if you were just reading it on your own.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The characters are wonderful, and the narration and voice acting really brings it to life. Chemistry had me on the edge of my seat, and The Secret really provided a lot of additional information into Gwain's character.

Any additional comments?

Absolutely fantastic, skipped Professionals since it was also included in Crossroads.

Would you listen to Crossroads again? Why?

The narration and the story were both fantastic. "A Cat Prince" had excellent characterization and presented the defining moment well.
"Hualien" (Which is not how I expected it to be spelled) was fantastic, the "multiple" story threads were excellent, and it filled in how the 'flute' got out of the hands of Gabalon.

What other book might you compare Crossroads to and why?

I enjoyed (and still enjoy) the works of Abigail Hilton, with this 'Anthology' for the lack of a better term, being no exception.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The narrator in "A Cat Prince" had a little bit of a growl to his voice that I thought was a bit disconcerting.

Any additional comments?

Wonderful story from Abigail as always, hoping it tides me over till her next story.

What made the experience of listening to The Guild of the Cowry Catchers the most enjoyable?

The different characters being voiced by separate people, or in separate voices complimented by the music in the background really brought out the reading. The plot was also exceptional, and the characters were lifelike to the extreme, will all the flaws and triumphs that entails.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite main character has to by Silveo Lamire, simply because he captures the attention of whatever scene his is in.My favorite secondary character has to be Dakar, for reasons that become obvious.

What does Abigail Hilton and Full Cast bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narration is exceptional, and the Full Cast brings the characters alive, each with their own distinct voice. Since I haven't read the book (something I intend to remedy shortly) I am unable to say exactly what you would miss, however the Fullcast of it is fantastic.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

The length, (32 hours, 4 minuets, and 29 seconds) made it impossible to do so. There were some parts that made me want to stop listening to it for a time, in a futile effort to prevent the misfortune that was about to, or just had befallen the characters.

Any additional comments?

The first four books(out of the five book collection) are fantastic, avoiding the usual problem of things slowing down in the middle. The fifth book's ending could use some alterations, as it leaves the characters on an uncertain note, not something that should happen, excepting the possibility that Abigail Hilton has more to write on the matter.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would- and in fact have - recommended this audiobook to a friend, because of the exceptional plot, and although I have seen the basic concept of it often, I have never seen it executed with such grace as Abigail Hilton pulls it off; managing to give an old storytelling device new life.

What did you like best about this story?

One of the things that I like the best in listening to it after the first time is the noticeable improvement in the quality of the audio in the first three chapters. In the first playthrough my favorite thing has to be the worldbuilding that went into the novel.

Which character – as performed by Abigail Hilton – was your favorite?

Ptolemy is by far my favorite character, followed closely by Char, Ptolemy for his "TANJ" moment, and char for reasons that are quite spoilry.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, although the length of it makes that difficult. The plot is well paced and there are few places where nothing of import is happening, the exposition is well handled throughout and clever readers will be able to tell some of the plot twists.

Any additional comments?

The one thing that I disliked in this word was the fact that none of the antagonists were remotely likable.
