A Street Cat Named Bob
- And How He Saved My Life
- By: James Bowen
- Narrated by: Kristopher Milnes
- Length: 6 hrs and 3 mins
When street musician James Bowen found an injured cat curled up in the hallway of his apartment building, he had no idea how much his life was about to change. James was living hand to mouth on the streets of London, barely making enough money to feed himself - the last thing he needed was a pet. Yet, James couldn't resist helping the strikingly intelligent, but very sick animal, whom he named Bob. He slowly nursed Bob back to health and then sent the cat on his way, never imagining that he would see him again. But Bob had other ideas.
Three Cheers for Bob and James!

This really connects with me.
I really connected with the authors experience with caring for Bob and Bob's unique purrsonality, so to speak. I've been involved with cat rescue as both a transporter and foster of many cats who were either strays or owner surrenders and wound up at animal control or were taken in off the streets by caring and compassionate people like the author. Many have been rehabilitated and found loving forever homes. Many more are still in need. I hope this book and the subsequent film help in that cause. Thank you Bob and Mr. Bowen . Five stars across the board from me and a thumbs up.
