After a young, seemingly healthy woman collapses suddenly on the NYC subway and dies by the time she reaches the hospital, her case is initially chalked up to influenza. That is, until she ends up on Dr. Jack Stapleton's autopsy table, where Jack discovers something eerily fishy: First, that the young woman has had a heart transplant, and second, that her DNA matches that of the transplanted heart. Strangely, two more incidences of young people with this same sudden and rapid illness follow. Something is off about these cases, and only Jack can figure it out before it's too late.

I was so looking forward to this book and pre-bought it. Literally nothing happens in this book. Everything is loose ends - jumps around. Quite disappointing.

This book had such good ratings! It was “ok” but certainly not the “must read” that everyone is touting. I loved the female narrators but the male narrator did not fit. Perhaps I’m an outlier but I found the book to be so/so and ended up fast forwarding to the end.

I really enjoyed this book with the exception of the slow middle section. I enjoyed the perspective and time difference in the different character's viewpoints. I thought that the end was SO much better than the middle but the author just sped through it. I would still suggest it - but I wish she would have spent more time on developing the ending.

This book kept me guessing until the very end. I loved the characters and all of the different issues woven in. I did not care for the narrator, I felt that she spoke too quickly but when I slowed it down it was too slow. I had to rewind a few times to understand the sentence. Other than that - I highly recommend.
