Sam Parker is a vampire with a gift so strong and substantial that she is invited to partake in a test for a place in the Grand High Master Vampire's private army. She finds that not only has the army never included a woman, but it has never included a Svente vampire; a breed that is regarded by the super strong Pagori breed and the hypnotically beautiful Keja breed to be too tame and human-like.

Have read the kindle so naturally love the audio!!!!! About darn time!!! Suzanne is one of my favourite authors! Didn't really feel it necessary to have the male narrative but whatever, don't see why the woman couldn't speak all the female dialog, just weird when the man does it and vise versa

Everyone knows NOT to discuss how to raise children. The Men of the North have been living in exile for centuries, raising their boys without the influence of women. Now an experiment will bring girls and boys together in a new school with children and teachers from each side of the border. But how can two teachers work together when they don't agree on anything? Sparks fly in this clash of cultures when Archer Rex objects to Kya Rae's meditation "shit" that will surely turn his boys into wusses. He wants the kids to learn how to hunt and fight instead. Contains mature themes.

The writing is ok, the story is ok but it's really an UG...Woman..SEX...book... Woman society, advanced, peaceable but facing extinction from not having men with good swimmers...
Male society....they get boy cast offs from the women in exchange for good sperm as they live a more natural life, sans women...but it's more neanderthal....

A sensible stab at trying to bridge the gap, one hook up at a time....

Fairly predictable but not an awful way to spend a few hours...

Concerned that technology is about to chase mythological creatures out into the open (how long can Sasquatch stay hidden from Google maps?), the League for Interspecies Cooperation is sending Jillian to Louisiana on a fact-finding mission. While the League hopes to hold on to secrecy for a little bit longer, they're preparing for the worst in terms of human reactions. They need a plan, so they look to Mystic Bayou, a tiny town hidden in the swamp where humans and supernatural residents have been living in harmony for generations.

Prior to release????

I am sorry but the accents in this story telling are awful! New Zealanders do not have an accent anything like these. They were kind of a cross between Australian and English, and the narrator didn't even attempt to get the Icelandic accent.

I love Nalini's books but this time I wish I had of bought the hard copy instead of the audio.

As as for a kiwi accent sounding like an aussie accent? Well that is the same as saying an american accent is canadian..

I was a bit worried when I read other comments about this book but as I love Suzanne's books I went ahead and got the latest installment.

I actually liked this story a bit more than some of the others. It moved along fine with just the right amount of raunchy scenes in all the right places.

I hope more of the books come along soon and maybe some of her other works.

Excellent job by Jill Redfield again.

Drake Carson is the quintessential cowboy. In charge of the family ranch, he knows the realities of this life, its pleasures and heartbreaks. Lately, managing the wild stallions on his property is wearing him down. When an interfering so-called expert arrives and starts offering her opinion, Drake is wary, but he can't deny the longing - and the challenge - she stirs in him. Luce Hale is researching how wild horses interact with ranch animals - and with ranchers. The Carson matriarch invites her to stay with the family, which guarantees frequent encounters with Drake.

Don't know what the complaints about sound quality were but if there were some they were fixed.

Jack Garrett does a good job narrating. It's an audio book not radio drama so it's just a dude reading a book with a fairly manly voice doing ladyish voices. Most books with women reading have pretty ordinary mens parts too.

Story line is a usual western story, great for a rainy day knitting. Love Linda's stories!

Certainly nothing to 'not finish' some folks can be picky but it's their opinion and they're entitled. Good story and it was lovely having it read to me so I can do some chores while I listen. Well worth the credit and the few hours escapism.

The 'Days of Our Lives' genre may not appeal to everyone but it was typical J R Ward, well thought out and not overly predictable nor an overt bodice ripper.

I found it a refreshing change from all the paranormal I usually listen to and it's well welcome to my library of goodies.

It's been a little harder to get into these books. So many characters to get to know but now into the third book the characters are becoming old friends. It certainly helps to have a bit of a crossover to some loved Sookie Stackhouse people. I can't wait to see where Quinn ends up and it was lovely to see Barry Bellboy again. But Midnight is a very different kettle of fish compared to Bon Temps.

I'm very happy to be on this mystic ride and have no clue where the heck this crazy train is heading but I am looking forward to seeing where it ends up.....
