If you could sum up Ghost Run in three words, what would they be?

I enjoyed this novel a lot more than book three to which I gave a really bad review. It needs to be on the timeline for it to work for me. I still don't enjoy the characters name ( Kilroy) , make it feel like the author is hiding the main character from identity thief in a Zombie apocalypse? I will wait for the next novel !

Any additional comments?

I have no doubt this is one of the best series out there on the market! Phil has given us a fun and very entertaining character who you really care about and is not the typical one sided projection you get with some of these types of series. I do admire how every time I have written to the author of this series, he respond back right away and is very positive with his comments. That tells me it is more than a job for him and he does have very funny monthly posting. So I would recommend you subscribe to him and find out what in the future with his writings. This narrator is one of the best also as he brings the words to life and they both make a great team! Thanks for a great series!!!

The long-planned raid on the heart of the Grik Empire has grown more ambitious - and dangerously ill-defined. Only Matthew Reddy, commander of the old destroyer USS Walker, seems focused on its original intent. Many Lemurians see an opportunity to reconquer their sacred homeland, which was stolen long ago, and have no intention of simply striking a blow and then pulling back. Others, Lemurian and human, have their own agendas - which may not be in the best interests of the Alliance.

Nice series as it goes and I love the fact that this writer does not sort to magic and time travel to fix the storyline. He really puts some though into the book and series as it flows in order from day to week as he has presented his characters.

What made the experience of listening to Dark Recollections the most enjoyable?

I found the story "In General" very pleasent with some of the mix humor, gore, and actions of the people in the story. I found myself invested in the characters and had a good feel of the real emotional reactions to the events in their lives.
The main character ( Adrian ) is a typical dude of guys and having exmilitary,ex club bouncer , and a big size intimitdating guy with fighting skills. With all that I described the most important thing about ( Adrian ) is that he turns out to be a down to earth nice guy ,as you learn to know him over the time you listen about his thoughts as he goes day to day in his journal entries. The books only faults is that it goes side track with other non important characters lives and gives a account of how they dealt with the moment the SHTF as the zombies arrose. This made me want to skip forward on the story track to my main guy (Adrian) journal accounts as I knew this is the meat and potatoes of the story.
You will not be dissapointed to drop a credit on this one as this Zombie storyline is fun and has a good flow with the narrator.

Storyline is nice I enjoyed this book. I found the politics fascinating and I wonder how many laws have to be broken for good to prevail. This is worth a credit, well written and not bad narrated story. The story totally pulled me in, i enjoyed every minute and would buy into a second book if released.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

This series is a great but as I listen away on the story line I became more and more confused. I have to confess that I am a great fan of zombie tales. This series goes way beyond the usual story and tells a fascinating possible future. I said it's finished for now, but I get the feeling this third book is nowhere near the ending I expected,
Not to say there was no action, but if you total the zombie fighting time all together in this book, I would give it about 40 minutes total. Then the book goes into a Spec ops tale with the legion and a even bigger foe and enemy countries on the horizon as the author hints at.
Now if I were to buy a Zombie tale book , wouldn't you expect a zombie story? Sorry to say I felt cheated and confused on where this tale went? If you purchase this book, don't be surprised you may just feel you read a Tom Clancy tale.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I listen to this book going into it with expectation simular to Monster Hunter and a story about fighting unknown creatures . The plot is more like a Nora Roberts romance novel of a 1/2 human /demon gene teenager who finally gets her freak on and makes it with a vampire for all sakes.
The story takes little turns or twist to keep me entertained and about 1/2 way through the book I was thinking to just get a refund for this dull setting. It never made any sense on how a 300 years vampire came across as a love starved idot in the plot and it all goes bad from there and it ends in a fizzy plot with never no clear bad guy or end of the world plot.
I
