Never fear, I don’t do spoilers.

This is old school Black Dagger Brotherhood. Feels like the earlier novels which is amazing! I have re-listened to the beginning works… umm let’ s just say A LOT so, yeah, I know from whence I speak (obsessive?? Who me?!).

We have been teased with tidbits about Murhder forever so expectations were high (as they always are with The Goddess Warden) and it completely delivers. Sarah was strong, brave and believable. I loved all the JM and Xhex interactions which were seriously heartbreaking at times and – uplifting- yeah to JM! (you’ll have to read to find out why -wink).

I adore Jim Frangione and breathe a sigh of relief whenever I see his name. After so many books he has become a huge part of the BDB series for me.

It has everything I have come to expect from Ward—I laughed, I cried and I swooned.

Looking forward to Lassiter’s story and all the legacy storylines.

Can we please make J R Ward immortal? Lassiter, if are you reading this she needs a diamond.

Perfect blend of romance and action. I don't know how Stoker is such a prolific writer and stays so talented. She does not sacrifice the story for the speed at which she writes. Lucky for us! I liked Arrow and Morgan and always enjoy Stella Bloom's narration. The cover for the next in the series- Defending Harlow is smokin' so looking forward to that one.

Having grown up with a port-wine birthmark on her face and neck, Quinn Dixon’s heard them all. Her own mother couldn’t bear to touch her, let alone strangers. Years of stares and insults from everyone from classmates to foster families have made her understandably reluctant to trust. So when John comes along, of course he couldn’t be interested in more than a brief affair. He’ll get sick of all the gawking and whispers soon enough and leave her…just like everyone else.

Quinn and Driftwood’s story. I was intrigued by these two in the previous novel and was excited to hear their story. As always, Stoker does not disappoint. She is SO good at weaving an interesting story that often has a person that society views as other—differently abled, socially challenged, etc. I love that she writes love stories about flawed people since we can all relate. The beauty in her characters shine through in who they and how they look. Also you learn along the way, I knew absolutely nothing about port wine birthmarks before listening to this story.

I have the same complaint about all of her novels, they are too captivating, and it is hard to stop listening.

Looking forward to Taco getting his much deserved HEA.

Until on a spring morning in the English countryside, a tall, dark stranger emerges from the mist. Logan Steele is all tousled hair, hard chest, and lips so perfect I want to reach out and touch them, just to check they’re real. Did I mention he’s an Earl with a self-made fortune? But when I find out Logan Steele is out to destroy everything I’ve dedicated my life to protect, the chemistry disappears and the hope that had blossomed my chest turns to rage.

As others have pointed out this IS a series and I have no clue why they are not advertised as such. Yes they are stand alone, but a lot of series are stand alone but work best in order. Anyway, I listened to them in order and have to say the female narration on this one was my least favorite. The male narration- Shane East- was wonderful. I enjoy Louise Bay stories and this book is okay, just not quite up to the charm of the others in the series IMO. The female lead was frankly pissing me off at the end and I felt like it dragged- it also was too hallmark cheesy at the end for me.

Narration is wonderful. It closes a loop in the story that you’re left wondering about, so it works well with the story arc and the character.

This is my favorite one so far. Although these novels are not advertised as a series, I found it more enjoyable to listen in order (King of Wall Street, Park Ave Prince, Duke of Manhattan, The British Knight, The Earl of London.

It is easy to fall in love with all things British and swoon. The silky smooth narration helped put me back on the lovely London streets. I was brilliantly charmed.

Violet has a meet-cute with a very swoon worthy British man. They have off the charts chemistry. Violet gets whinny and jumps to conclusions at one point, but I loved Alex so much I forgave the novel for that.

Louise Bay writes with believable dialogue, sexy chemistry, strong women, flawed charming men and, of course, HEA. Love that there is one more to devour!

I've made every one of my billions of dollars myself - I'm calculating, astute and the best at what I do. It takes drive and dedication to build what I have. And it leaves no time for love or girlfriends or relationships. But don't get me wrong, I'm not a monk. I understand the attention and focus it takes to seduce a beautiful woman. They're the same skills I use to close business deals. But one night is where it begins and ends. I'm not the guy who sends flowers. I'm not the guy who calls the next day.

I very rarely read young adult and had to have many sources repeatedly tell me to listen to this. When I found out music I loved is woven throughout this, it helped sell it for me. In 1986 I was in high school and I listened to all the music Park did.

The dual narrators were wonderful. It captures that awkward, beautiful, first sparks at young romance. Utterly charming and heartbreaking at the same time. As an older adult I wanted to hug them both and buy Eleanor many toothbrushes.

I loved how different they both were- physically, economically, home life, siblings, and history.

I also loved that the novel is not a fairytale. I simply loved this listen!

Susan Stoker is a one click audible for me. I have listened to every book available on audible and she never disappoints.

This book was lighter on sex than some others, but just as action packed with real people and strong women. I liked the different countries, intrigue and fast pace.

The narrator was fine. The nickname thing was grating after a while and overused, but that is a minor annoyance in a great listen.
As a huge dog person I am WAY looking forward to Decker’s book.

What she doesn't want is another man in her life-not now, maybe not ever. After ten years of unsatisfactory, missionary-position sex, she never expected her libido to reawaken. One look at sex-in-boots Daniel Coleman in a Calgary bar, though, blows the dust off her sexuality. This is my first book by this author, and I think this narrator. I struggled to finish it not because it is awful or the narrator is monotone or something, but because I just was not very engaged. Normally during my commuter to and from work I am engrossed in whatever audible I am listening too, but not this time. A few times I was so disinterested I choose listening to the news instead. You know where it is going and there are little to no surprises, no action, just a quiet predictable romance. I see other listeners enjoyed it, so I will chalk it up to just not my cup of tea.
