The series is really pretty good. Love the characters. The narrator is TERRIBLE. seriously, read ahead. Learn to pronounce words you don't know.

OMG. How many "tests" must Cia have?!

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

The first book was ok but this second one... AWFUL. I had to stop listening... Not EVERYTHING has to be a test.

Any additional comments?

Kind of a fun story but, do your research. Alaska doesn't have snakes. Also, Alaska is remote but a "clan" couldn't hide around Denali for over 17 years undetected.

What did you like best about Enclave? What did you like least?

This seems like a good story but I CANNOT continue. The narrator's voice seems very young, whiny, and giggly/gleeful in the most inappropriate parts of the story. It's really rough to listen to and it is the reason I have quit listening to this book and will not buy the next in the series.

WOW. Compelling story about what could be. Keeps me up at night. Makes me want to buy lots of dry beans, excellent camping/survival gear and have an exit plan (so I can head to the hills). I also have been thinking a lot since finishing this story about making better health decisions (want to stay FAR away from diabetes and heart disease!)...

Did not enjoy the narrator's voice at all... reminded me of "deep thoughts by Jack Handy" I kept waiting for the punchline.

ugh.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

This is a terrible book. The writing is sparse and poor. Repetitive use of Jane Austen's phrasing is terrible. It lent nothing to the original work. Poorly done.

well done

Wow. Great story. Nicely narrated, well written. I would totally recommend. It is not the ending you want or would hope for but it completed the story well.

silky voice

OK, I read the other reviews and was sad to read that people didn't enjoy Brendon Frazier's interpretation. His voice is silky. I personally didn't agree with some of his accents (Finolio sounds like some one who is from Brooklyn/East coast and shouldn't he be from Italy?) but loved how into it Brendon got into it. The way he read this is like listening to the character Mo reading this--the characters came alive for me.
