It's a Long Story audiobook cover art

I have to confess that I have had this book for over a year, but never listened to it, until recently. I wasn't sure I would like it, but found that I did. The reader's voice is close enough, to Willie's, that you accept that it is, even though you know it isn't.
The book was very entertaining, and doesn't try to whitewash his flaws.
It ended up being a book that make me want to drive to work each day, just to keep listening.

I bought this book thinking that it might give some behind the scenes insight into both Nimoy and Shatner's life, and it did. Shatner's voice was good, and at times it seemed like he wasn't even reading, but was just speaking conversationally. That's one reason that I like listening to the author read his book, because the voice fits the story.
It was one of those books that made me want to drive to work, so I could keep listening to it.

I especially liked listening to the author/reader's voice. It reminded me of a Harry Potter narrator's voice. The story was good enough to make me want to drive to work, so I could listen to more of the book.

Having grown up watching the show, I was curious about the behind the scenes stories. I'm glad I listened to it, but it showed the dark side of their relationship, as well as the good.

My wife and I were listening to this on a trip across the country. We arrived home with a half hour left to listen to, and decided to stay in the car, until we had finished. Since we both grew up watching him on TV, it was really interesting to hear the behind the scenes stories, that were not all that complimentary.
It is written by his ex-lawyer, and friend, so you have access to first hand stories, not the made up tabloid type.

A lot of my friends have bought this book and raved about it. Unfortunately, I didn't find it that good. I base my books by how much they make me look forward to my long drives to, and from, work. I found that I didn't want to keep listening, so every time I finished a book, I would continue with this one. By the time a chapter was done, I would stop and move on to another book.

This may have been one of the best books that I have ever listened to. It was far more entertaining than I expected, and the author's voice was perfect. I was around while these events were happening, but had never heard the behind the scene stories. It would make a great movie, especially since it was true.

I was hesitant to buy this book, because it's not the type of story that I usually am interested in. I saw that it had great reviews, so I took a chance on it. To my delight, it turned out to be one of those books that made me want to get in the car each day, so that I could listen to it.

I was hesitant to read this, because I thought I had already heard enough about how the early war was fought. I'm glad I took a chance, because what I thought I knew, was not correct. This book tells what went right, and what went wrong, and made me want to get in the car, so I could hear more.

I used to believe that our military cared about its soldiers, but have read a few books, like this one, that show otherwise. It seems that we have fallen back into the Vietnam type mentality, where officer's careers take priority over the combat soldier's well being.
I'm glad that these men have given their side of the events that their superiors, and the media, are so quick to condemn.
