First the narration was awful! Monotone and not engaging at all!
Next, just too many times you think.. is she (the main character) really that gullable & naive?
Last, I couldn't wait for it to be over. The character's were not believable. The plot was unrealistic and the ending was predictable.

I fell in love with Michelle's obsession and commitment to finding the Golden State Killer. It is unnerving that he has yet to be caught, and heartbreaking that Michelle will not be able to conclude her obsession.
Thank you for allowing us to continue living her obsession.

I loved this book! Was surprised tho the end! Narration was very good, however I did prefer changes in cadence or different narrators for the characters. It was somewhat difficult to determine which character was being portrayed by voice, not until the story line gave clues as to the character was I certain.

Never a doubt. Never a mistake. Always for justice. Never for revenge. She's the person you hire when you need something fixed-permanently. With a strict set of criteria, she evaluates every request and chooses only a few. No more than one job per country, per year. She will only step in if it's clear that justice will not be served any other way. Her jobs are completed with skill and precision, and never result in inquiry or police investigation. The Fixer is invisible - and quite deadly.

Nine months ago Sara Adams awoke with no memory. The man holding her hand told her she's a member of The Light, a tight-knit religious group led by the terrifying and charismatic Father Gabriel. As a woman in the community of The Light, her duty is to be unquestionably obedient and to submit to the will of her husband. But as Sara's memory starts to return and she remembers her past, she sees that everything she's been told is a lie. The Light is an insidious and dangerous organization.
