Over 200 years ago, a covert expedition shadowing Lewis and Clark disappeared into the wilderness of central Idaho. Now, seven anthropology students and their professor vanish in the same area. The key to finding them lies in an ancient secret, one involving alchemy, gold, and immortality...a secret that men throughout history have sought to unveil. Michael Rempart is a brilliant archeologist whose colorful and controversial career has earned him admiring fans and implacable foes, but he is plagued by a troubling sense of the supernatural and a mysterious spiritual intuitiveness.

A cabal of Russian oligarchs instigates unrest in the Far East of Russia as the first stage of an attempt to unseat Vladimir Putin. Britain offers covert support in the form of five MI7 agents. The disturbances mirror those in Eastern Ukraine and, if pushed far enough, might persuade the Kremlin to retract its territorial interests in Donetsk, Luhansk, and Zaporizhia. However, once the five operatives are shipped east, events take an unexpected turn. One by one, they begin to disappear.

The Eastern Ukraine Question: John Mordred, Book 1. The style of writing is slightly familiar though I can't recall which book, it is written in that British upper class false modesty manner, but is a good read all the same. Entertaining and easy to listen to.
Narration is excellent and accents very clear.

The Vietnam War has ended at last, leaving both sides to question what they’d been fighting for. It seems that no one has won at all, and horrors remain, like so many landmines. Many of the homecoming "heroes" have committed crimes against humanity...but now they wear medals, not manacles. Having lost his entire family to a unit of rogue Marines, Xuan Lang is only beginning to pick up the pieces. Assembling them won’t be easy and nothing can bring back what was taken - but, even so, his efforts may afford him final peace....

On a hot rainy summer night in Nassau, the Bahamas, in 1943, someone murdered Sir Harry Oakes, one of the richest men in the world, as he slept. When police found him the next morning, there were four wounds to his skull. His corpse had been abused, covered ritualistically with feathers and set on fire. The murder was perverse, horrific, and jaded by anyone’s standards. A few evenings later in New York City, the phone rang in the home of Alan Hynd, identified in that era by the NY Times as America’s highest paid true crime reporter.

Jihad and the West: Black Flag over Babylon. I had great expectations of this book, but ended up slightly disappointed.
Rather than a multi viewed look at Jihad and the West it was turned into a list of headlines with a little extra background information. Questions were asked but answers or suggestions were not included.
Production quality was poor in places but overall OK.
Narration was poor and the narrator always seemed to be speaking to fast.
