In her memoir, a work of deep reflection and mesmerizing storytelling, Michelle Obama invites listeners into her world, chronicling the experiences that have shaped her - from her childhood on the South Side of Chicago to her years as an executive balancing the demands of motherhood and work to her time spent at the world's most famous address. With unerring honesty and lively wit, she describes her triumphs and her disappointments, both public and private, telling her full story as she has lived it - in her own words and on her own terms.

This was a great book! I already liked Michelle Obama, however, I had no idea of her truly humble roots or how hard she worked to get where she was. I have so much respect for her heart of service, her opening her life story up and sharing it with everyone publicly after being exposed to so much hurt and criticize. It is raw and a neat look at the first family and yet so sad that to be in that place you almost have to be entirely sequestered from life.

I absolutely adore this book! I didn’t know much about it and got it because it sounded interesting. After a few chapters, I found when I put it down I was drawn back into it, reading it from my phone, tablet, listenin on audible anywhere I could! The story is so powerful of love, courage, forgiveness, and truly finding ones self! Highly recommend!

I have to be honest at first I was thinking what is the big deal with this book and why is it a best seller? Once the pace gets going and the story gets set up, there are so many twists and turns! I could not put it down and finished it from 62 percent to 100 percent in one sitting! I highly recommend!
