Generations of werewolves have been secretly residing in a secluded valley a stones throw from Grundy, Alaska. So when a snooping Outsider comes to Grundy to investigate rumors of lycanthropic shenanigans in the area, the valleys pack alpha, Maggie Graham, resolves to chase him away, even if doing so takes a quick bite on the butt. What a pity that researcher Nick Thatcher turns out to be so drool-worthy, and that his kisses make Maggie want to sit up and beg.

I am a big fan of Molly Harper and when the audiobook is narrated by Amanda Ronconi it is a must buy for me.

Maggie is the pack leader. She keeps getting the hints that she needs to settle down and take a mate. I love Maggie’s sense of humor and how she handles herself within the pack.

Nick is up in Alaska doing research. He wants Maggie but he’s a human. Maggie thinks she needs to settle down with a werewolf. Things get complicated when “accidents” begin happening to some of the pack.

I read the first book in this series a couple of years ago. I will not be waiting as long to start book 3.

Welcome to Mystic Bayou, a tiny town hidden in the swamp where shape-shifters, vampires, witches, and dragons live alongside humans. The town formed around the mysterious energy rift in the bayou, which helps keep the town’s magic in balance. But lately the rift has been widening and destabilizing - threatening to send the town’s magical population into chaos. Energy witch Danica Teel has been sent by the League to figure out what’s going on, with the help of bear-shifter Mayor Zed.

As soon as I finished the first book, I wanted to read this book. I want to move to Mystic Bayou. The town is delightful. I love all of the characters who live there.

This book starts shortly after the first book ends. More people from the League are coming to Mystic Bayou to deal with the energy rift. Danica is sent to figure out what is wrong with the rift and repair it. Zed, the town mayor, is assigned to help Danica. Although she tries, Danica can't resist Zed's charm.

I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Concerned that technology is about to chase mythological creatures out into the open (how long can Sasquatch stay hidden from Google maps?), the League for Interspecies Cooperation is sending Jillian to Louisiana on a fact-finding mission. While the League hopes to hold on to secrecy for a little bit longer, they're preparing for the worst in terms of human reactions. They need a plan, so they look to Mystic Bayou, a tiny town hidden in the swamp where humans and supernatural residents have been living in harmony for generations.

I have read several books by Molly Harper. I didn't even read the description of this book before I got. I saw the Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi combination and I had to get it.

Jillian is sent to Mystic Bayou to observe the town and see how humans and supernaturals live together peacefully. While she is working she has to deal with Bael, the town sheriff and a town that is wary of outsiders. Things get worse for Jillian when the people that she interviews start dying.

Given the choice between dealing with a psycho killer, a meddling mother, and an all too sexy falcon, this poor doctor does what any sane lion would do - he takes a nice, long nap. Avian Soaring Security has transferred Clarice to the Furry United Coalition so she can help track some escaped psycho patients. As if that weren’t bad enough, they partnered her with the very pampered Dr. Manners. Everything about the attractive feline annoys her except for his flaming-hot kisses.

In this book you get to learn more about FUC's doctor, Nolan. He is a lion shifter with a crazy mother and an obsession with hair products. FUC is dealing with aftermath of Mastermind. She did one last experiment and then set them loose. With all of the chaos that causes, extra help is called in. Clarice dislikes Nolan from the moment that she meets him. I enjoyed the banter between the two.

I think I enjoyed this book more because I took some time between books 3 and 4. If you have ever read an Eve book, you know you shouldn't read the last page unless you're ready to jump into the next book.

The series keeps pulling you in. I needed to find out who the mastermind was. The added bonus was getting Viktor's story. Viktor is introduced in the first book. He is the partner to a very happy bunny shifter, Miranda. He's quiet. He does his job and he's very protective. He saves Renee from a lab while looking for the mastermind. Even though Renee is scared and Viktor can be harsh, she feels safe with him. Renee softens Viktor and Viktor helps Renee get her self-confidence back. I loved both characters.

I do recommend reading the series in order. You don't have to, but I think you get more out of each book when you do.

I did enjoy this book, but there were times that I wanted to smack Hannah, Jake, and Jake's father, Holt. Holt basically blackmails his sons to get his way. He tells Jake that he needs to get married or he will lose the ranch to his brother, Ned. Holt blackmails Hannah by threatening to kill and the bison that she adopted. Hannah needs to share a bed with Jake for two weeks.

Hannah and Jake kind of go along with Holt's demands. So many things could have been avoided if the two of them talked and stopped making so many assumptions. The book was cute and frustrating at the same time. I enjoyed the end of the book so I'm glad that I stuck with it.

Cab is very protective of everyone in his life. He tries to help Rose, but he doesn't always do it in the best way. Most of the people in Rose's life want to control her. She assumes Cab does as well. While I do appreciate Rose's need for independence, she takes it a bit too far sometimes. Just because someone wants to help and protect you, it doesn't mean that they want to control you.

I didn't read the previous books in the series, but I was still able to follow along with all of the characters.

I originally saw the Hallmark movie and decided to see how different the book was. I did enjoy the book, but I liked the daughter better in the movie.

Emily is a widow whose only child is now off at college. Emily behaves the way that you want to behave. She wants to spend Christmas with her child. Her daughter, Heather, has other ideas. She decides to spend Christmas out of town, but doesn't tell her mother.

Charles needs to finish his book and wants to avoid his mother and Christmas. When Emily decides to surprise Heather, Charles decides to swap houses with a perfect stranger, Emily.

It is a fun a fun book. So many issues could have been avoided if people would communicate instead of trying to surprise each other, but then the book wouldn't be as much fun.
