The narrator seems to have 2 voices for male and female characters. 1) fairly normal, 2) screaming growl.

Almost impossible to listen. Tinny sound like it was recorded via a bad 1950s telephone connection. All time worst audio on Audible.

Decent story but the inconsistent sound level was distracting. Either too loud or too soft. Instead of narrative it was like a bad one man radio play.

Interviews are at such a low volume they are inaudible. Too annoying to finish. More attention should be paid to the audio part of an audio book.

I always automatically get any new Captain Deutermann book. He never disapoints. Good story line and characters that you really care about. Wonderful reader. I want a follow-up to find what happens next. Malachi and Marjorie's story needs to be told.

It's great to have then back. I really missed Royce and Hadrian. Royce's glass half empty and Hadrian's half full makes a full tankard of adventure. As always, Tim Gerard Reynolds' narration makes the characters live. Please don't let Royce and Hadrian lapse into obscurity.

Another good read from BV Larson.
Some series start to get stale but Larson manages to keep you wanting more. Mark Boyett does an incredible job making each character easily recognizable. One of the best narrators on Audible. I always get both the Kindle and Audible versions. Waiting fo 10.
