Nothing in life is ever easy, and no one is more painfully aware of that than Josiah Evans, Mateo Sanchez, and Tristan Croft. They know what they want - each other - but with three people as broken as they are, all those pieces aren't so easily mended. Josiah is their glue. All he wants is to give his men what they need. Mateo wants to absolve himself of his sins. To be worthy of love and to protect it. Tristan must let go of his past, must learn how to need, and what it really means to take care of someone.

The characters get more involving as we dig deeper into their personalities. Each person is developed so perfectly that we feel we know them individually. The story does get more involving with many surprises so its not predictable. The love between the three men grows in many different ways and is very heartwarming to listen to. Josiah, Mateo and Tristan were made for each other. Love all three of them!

This book is definitely easier to listen to than Book 1.

The narration is again amazing. Jack DuPont does a wonderful job with the main characters and the three side characters too (Mom, Elliot and Ben).

The intimate moments get more erotic. So get ready. :P

This book is highly recommended. Enjoy!

Josiah Evans is the orphan who lost both his parents. He's sweet, shy, and all heart. He wants nothing more than to be loved. Mateo Sanchez is the son of a gang leader. He's seen it all, and never hesitates to do what needs to be done, no matter what it is. Tristan Croft is the wealthy attorney who clawed his way up from the bottom to rule his own world. He'll never depend on anyone but himself again.

This book is a must read... the story is told so perfectly. It is hard at first but as the it develops, it does get better. Definitely worth reading.

The three men described and developed so uniquely are quite gripping in their own ways. With hardly anything in common, they provide totally different perspectives in the story. Each bring their own ways, backgrounds and expectations.

The story is about two boys in love and over time how this two-some becomes a three-some. Even knowing this, the story is not predictable. Nor does it have moments of misunderstandings or hiding things... it just develops and flows you from darkness to light.

It is so beautifully written as the character depth is so deep that I have not encountered before. How did these three people end up together being so different. How only the three of them made sense; not two. How can men who are broken fit so well together to make a whole.

The side characters are perfect in their own ways too: Mom, Ben and Elliot. Their roles are indeed needed in the story.

The narration, with Jack DuPont, doing all the characters so uniquely is simply amazing. He has their voices with the appropriate accents done to perfection. Jack, single handedly, brings the book to life! Awesome job.

The men are so perfect together ... their intimate moments are hot hot hot to sizzling! They just keep getting better. (I need a cigarette... and I don't even smoke!) :P

This book is definitely a keeper. Enjoy!

The characters are well liked but their low self-esteem got to me at times. The story is quite sweet but they keep misinterpreting each other... I love him/her... but he/she doesn't care about me. Same thoughts... Talk already!! Open up. Too many unsaid thoughts. I guess that's what makes the story.

Glad to see Tess has "balls" to stand up for herself... but, she could have done better. Nonetheless, glad to see she wasn't a victim asking for pity. She did have a lot of hopeless thinking... but so did Dylan.

Early in the story, we find out that years ago Tess was forced to have sex by Shane... He was then referred to as her "Ex". Why? They never dated. And, not once, was the word "rape" used. I really didn't understand that. The emphasis on this was under developed.

Tad Branson is amazing. His expressions makes imagining so perfect. Abby is great too but at times speaks very slowly. A bit frustrating. Over all the narration is really great.

The hot scenes are really hot. :P

Enjoy!

They call me Zen-man, the cool-headed one, the protector. I keep an eye out for everyone, take them in, find them homes. They think I’m the calm and collected one, the self-assured one, the one who knows the way. They think they see me. They think they know me. But they’re all wrong, because inside I’m broken. I have a jagged hole in my soul I can’t fix, a festering blackness. I’ve been to the pits of hell, and nobody comes back unscathed. Life in foster care fucked me up, and now a thread is all that’s holding me together.

In the first two books, you get to hear Zane at times. He comes across as someone who has gone through rough times and has come through... mature... responsible. He gives good advice "talk to each other" and brings people together.

However, in his own book, he's nothing like that. He definitely doesn't "talk" and lives a secret life. Because of this, the story does tend to drag. TALK ALREADY!!!

From previous book: I was kinda surprised to know that Zane and Erin (room mates) didn't know each other enough. Zane didn't know that she had a kid even though she went away every weekend. Erin had no idea about Zane's past. WHAT? Didn't they talk? Exactly!

Dakota is a bit dipsy... but then you're dealing with late teens. There's a lot of inner dialog that goes no where. There's more inner dialogs than actual communication.

I just love Sebastian York... he always brings the characters to life. The narration in this book is just perfect to listen to. Makes the book worth while.

Definitely a good listen. Enjoy!

Four years have passed since I left home, my parents, and my brother Asher behind - since I shut out my past. And Erin. Four years since I last saw her, since I heard her voice and held her in my arms. I've spent my time forging a path from woman to woman, from bed to bed, trying to find an answer. But I think I've lost my way. There's no light at the end of the dark. No big surprise. I carry the dark inside me. I'm a bastard - branded as such from the start. I never give my phone number and address. I take my pleasure, and don't come back for seconds. No commitments, no promises.

Sure tragic things happen in this book but all of it is very predictable. The character development is great however some of the decisions these "kids" make really tells you their age. Teenagers!! Uhhh

It's a cute story nonetheless. Don't expect heavy thinking on anyone's part. Go with the flow.

The narrators are great. They did an awesome job.

They call me a slut. Maybe I am. Sometimes I do things I despise. Sometimes men take without asking. But I have a musical gift, only a year left of high school, and a plan. With one obstacle. Emeric Marceaux doesn’t just take. He seizes my will power and bangs it like a dark note. When he commands me to play, I want to give him everything. I kneel for his punishments, tremble for his touch, and risk it all for our stolen moments.

Loved the story... so well written with so much passion... the characters were so well developed and their interactions took my breath away. Everything was intertwined: love, hate, passion, desire, anger, rage, danger, devotion, ... all together bring the story to life. It was really hard to stop listening to pause... Finished it in two days. I liked that it wasn't too predictable... and so the story grips you till the very end.

I picked this book based on the narrators: Ava Erickson and Tad Branson. What an amazing combination. They are so perfect especially together. Their expressions, tones and variations of voices are just incredible. The perfect icing on the cake.

The passionate scenes are so involving and intense especially with the knowledge of it being forbidden. What can they do? How far can they go? Who is watching? Will they get caught? Brings the sensuality to the next level. Hope they go all the way... I mean, no they shouldn't. Constant struggle. Hot! Hot! Hot! :P

This book is highly recommended. Definitely worth keeping in your library. Enjoy!

The story is quite simple as nothing major happens. At first I was disappointed to know how Dash was superstitious and wanted his "lucky" items, rigid structure and habits. I couldn't get into his way of thinking for a leading man in a HEA. But, we soon learn that he has ADHD then it's okay. I get it. It's a work in progress.

The librarian is hot but she doesn't know it. What? Come on. Not buying it.

Jo Raylan is an amazing narrator (5 out of 5). She really masters the voices of both Vivian and Dash. Her voice as Dash is so sexy and seductive. She definitely nailed it! HOWEVER, this is a big however, Jeremy's voice was too slow for me. As Dash, he quite frankly bored me. I thought he was just reading the book without any role playing. This was frustrating through out the book. I would have preferred Jo Raylan to do the whole book on her own. Adding Jeremy took away from Dash big time! Sorry Jeremy.

The intimate scenes are hot hot hot especially when Jo Raylan does Dash's voice. She is perrrrrfect!
Overall, its a very simple cute book. A good read. Enjoy!

I liked the book and didn't like it equally. Come on... its Huss. Having read all her other books, she is simply amazing. I always enjoy her writing. AND with Sebastian York... well, that just takes the book to another level. His voice, his tones and the emotions... he is one of my favs for sure.

However, I couldn't get into Nadia's character. I found that she complained a lot and was always fighting. She could have been more successful had she put more thoughts in her words and action.

The ending was a bit too abrupt and I felt it should have taken another chapter.

The concept of "being broken" was under-rated as the recovery time was way too short.

Sure its a HEA, but was it really? I didn't feel the passionate connection between the two to make it an HEA. He was still set in his ways and so was she. So, how will it work?

Overall, it's not one of my fav Huss/York books. I suppose its a good read but definitely not a keeper like the other books by them.
