Sapphire has sworn off relationships. She’s been hurt too many times. She’s going to live on her terms. Until she meets Eli. She likes him too much. When she runs, he follows. Their relationship crackles with tension. I enjoyed watching them spar with each other. I knew that when they went on a mission to rescue her friends that things would come to a head. I cared for both these characters. They are strong, fearless and caring. These shifters aren’t to be messed with. Katie Reus had written a strong story. It’s filled with great dialogue and an interesting setting. I enjoyed seeing these two in action. The Crescent Moon series is one of my favorites. I enjoy stories with a paranormal element. I like shifters. They are powerful and exciting. The other shifters add additional drama. Jaguar’s Mate was enjoyable to listen to. Jeffrey Kafer made these characters come alive. I like listening to an audio book. I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Five-year-old Sloane McBride couldn’t sleep that night. Her parents were arguing again, their harsh words heating the cool autumn air. Then there was that other sound - the ominous thump before all went quiet. In the morning, her mother was gone. The official story was that she left. Her loving, devoted mother! That hadn’t sat any better at the time than it did when Sloane moved out at 18, anxious to leave her Texas hometown in search of anywhere else. But not even a fresh start working as a model in New York could keep the nightmares at bay. Or her fears that her father is deadly.

It would be terrible to be haunted by the past. I was impressed by her determination. She won't be stopped by the pressure from her father. To add to her stress she must deal with her first love, Micah. He's bitter. Sloane may have left him without warning, but she still cares for him. Can they put the past behind them? I liked Micah. He's willing to help her even though it puts his career at risk. I was impressed with his character. Even though he suffered when Sloane left. He's helping her. Their chemistry is amazing. Can they work together to save Layla from a monster? Nova is stubborn and determined to help her best friend. Gage cares for Nova but he won't tell her. I could tell that they belonged together. I wanted these two to follow their heart and find their HEA. I was hooked on this romantic and suspenseful story. The characters are compelling. I liked them and cared what happened to them. It was great to see the other members of the Redemption Harbor team. They are always there to support each other. I enjoy this series by Katie Reus. She pulls me into a world of excitement and romance. When this is combined with the spot on narration of Sophie Eastlake I was hooked from the first page. I can't wait to be involved in their next adventure.

I found that Axel is an intriguing character. He always fought for what was right. When he was betrayed he left the FBI. Now he works in the shadows to make sure justice is served.
