On the northeast side of town, there is a house. The house was once magical, filled with love and joy and plans for the future. Inside its walls are many things that belong to me - my books, the china from my mother on my wedding day, the beautiful cage once home to two birds, now empty, just like me. And a man. A man who also belongs to me. A man I no longer wish to keep. A man who, no doubt, has not slept, though the sun is rising. Because the house where he waits is where I laid my head to rest every night for eight years. Until last night.

This was my first time reading Author Kandi Steiner and I’ve heard so much positive feedback about her work. Now I know why!!
This book was fantastic. Emotional, relatable, angst filled.
All the feels I look for in a romance.
Charleigh and Cameron have been together for over a decade and their marriage has been through more than any couple should have to endure so when a blast from the past steps into their lives reminding Charleigh what it feels like to be alive again, she can’t resist Reece and all his charm.
This is part one in a Duet so it ends in a cliffhanger but book 2 is already out and it’s so worth the read.
I listened to this on audio and highly enjoyed the narrators, Erin Mallon and Jason Clarke. Sebastian York even makes an appearance giving this story the added element of multiple point of views.
Highly recommend!!

My life was perfect - until a shocking tragedy pulled the rug out from underneath me. My children were left without a father. I was without a husband and a provider. Instead of wallowing in my grief, I buried myself in my work at Dovetail Enterprises. Landing the promotion as the CEO’s right hand was exactly what I needed. Getting saddled with Milo Huxley as an assistant is exactly the opposite. I can’t stand him. He’s arrogant, irresponsible, and out for my job. As if that’s not bad enough, he has to be devastatingly sexy, and have a posh English accent that makes me squirm on top of it all.

A beautiful story of love after loss. This story deals with losing a loved one but then getting a second chance when you least expect it. Danielle is a hard working single mom who is still grieving the loss of her husband. Promoted into a new job role the last thing she expects is for her bosses obnoxious brother to come strolling in demanding his position back, the one she is currently vacating.
Milo is a force to be reckoned with from his sexy swagger to his sharp British tongue but he knows just how to push Danielle’s buttons, Hot and Cold.
I loved the narration and the story was romantic, steamy, emotional and witty.
Definitely recommend.

It all started with a mysterious blue note sewn into a wedding dress. Something blue. I’d gone to sell my own unworn bridal gown at a vintage clothing store. That’s when I found another bride’s “something old.” Stitched into the lining of a fabulously feathered design was the loveliest message I’d ever read: Thank you for making all of my dreams come true. The name embossed on the blue stationery: Reed Eastwood, obviously the most romantic man who ever lived. I also discovered he’s the most gorgeous. If only my true-love fantasies had stopped there.

Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland give you their best book to date!!
Hate Notes is a beautiful story of self-discovery, second chances, and unconditional love.
I absolutely loved Charlotte and her determination. She says what she feels, does what she wants, and doesn’t let anyone hold her back.
After a horrible breakup, Charlotte finds a beautiful love note stitched into a wedding dress when she’s at the shop trading in her unused gown.
With inspiration in her palm, she gets a little tipsy and finds the man who wrote the love note by applying online to view one of his properties. Now this is where things get interesting and hilarious.
Charlotte meets Reed Eastwood and instantly finds him attractive however, he’s definitely not the man in love that wrote that note. What Charlotte soon discovers is that Reed is an alpha male with a chip on his shoulder but the closer she gets the more she’s determined to knock all his barriers away.
I felt for Charlotte and the struggle she faced to her Reed to understand her point of view but on the other hand I also envied her ability to know what she wanted and keep fighting until she got it.
Definitely an amazing story and a fantastic listen.
Lynn Barrington has a beautiful voice and did a great job portraying Charlotte. And not to ever be left out, Sebastian York was a hit as always!
Highly recommend this Listen.

Whitney Gable is the kind of woman you fight to the death to protect. To keep. To cherish. I've finally learned my lesson, and it's time to prove I'm the man who's worthy of her. I don't care what it takes, because failure is not an option. No matter who or what stands in our way - this time, she'll be mine forever.

Ten years ago, Whitney Gable caught me off guard with her long legs and grab-you-by-the-balls blue eyes. I didn't know or care what her name was. Like any Riscoff worth the family name, I went after what I wanted. We burned like a flash fire until she married another man. She hates me, and she should. I objected on her wedding day. Now she's home, with those same long legs and man-eater stare, but there's no ring on her finger. They say a Riscoff and a Gable can never live happily ever after, but I'm not done with Whitney Gable.

An amazing start to a series that I have fully become invested in. In true Meghan March fashion, she gives you the Forbidden Romance with a game of cat and mouse. There’s layers to this story that slowly unfold so be sure to pay attention. Whitney and Lincoln come from two different ends of the social class and with a family feud that’s ages old, there’s absolutely no way they can ever be together.
But Lincoln is a Riscoff and Riscoff men get what they want. And Lincoln Riscoff wants Whitney Gable.
This is a quick read yet packed full of punch.
The narration by Joe Arden and Erin Mallon is worth every penny!! These two are a force to be reckoned with. Best performance ever!!
Erin Mallon seriously gives you Whitney’s emotions with so much energy and passion, you feel everything.
I highly enjoyed this listen!!

This is the continuation of Whitney and Lincoln’s battle to be together.
The story is told in alternating POV’s between the heroine and hero and also jumps between past and present.
The narration is phenomenal and Joe Arden and Erin Mallon give one of the best performances ever in this series!! You I’ll get sucked in and consumed by the family lies, the manipulation and the passion between Whitney and Lincoln.
Ends on a cliffhanger but definitely enjoyed.
Would’ve liked to have seen a duet versus a trilogy as each book is really short and listening time is only 5 hours so not really worth a credit in pages and time but the reading/listening experience makes up for it!

After losing his best friend and other half, Gus has a long road ahead of him. He’ll learn to deal with his grief, cope in the only ways he knows how and completely lose himself in the darkness that now surrounds him. But he’ll also learn to accept the time he was given with Bright Side and embrace the present moments he’s been missing out on. He’ll also learn to love again and DO EPIC!!!
Gus is off to a rocky start and being on tour is not helping in matters. It was hard to watch Gus fall but my goodness it was so rewarding watching him shine.
Narrator Alex Kydd was phenomenal. He was Gus through and through. I couldn’t get over how much he hit all the Gus buttons on my radar. Absolutely loved this book and the narrators. I’ve listened to Lydia Dornet before and as always she was amazing!!
Definitely worth listening to, especially after Bright Side. Gus may break you a little more at first but he will also heal you. I promise. It’s a must!!!!

This is the third and final installment in the Love Me With Lies Series. This story is told from Caleb’s point of view and takes you through the present and past, unveiling all the missing pieces of the love triangle that is Olivia, Caleb and Leah.
You finally understand why Caleb made the decisions he did and at the end of the day you realize how much manipulation was taking place by all parties.
The overall morale to the story is that every decision has an outcome and every action has a reaction.
I loved the story and the originality. This is definitely a page-turner and full of angst. There were some parts where I felt things were dragged out with the back and forth but again, there is a reason for it.
The only reason I gave this a 4 versus a 5 is that I would’ve liked to have seen a better ending for everyone. Caleb gets dealt a lot of unfortunate hands and so does Olivia.
Yes, they get their HEA but there was something missing in it for me especially after all the obstacles these two faced and years they spent apart. I just wanted that something more for them and you’ll know what I’m referring to when you read it.
It was definitely an exciting and enjoyable listen and I honestly recommend this entire series!!

Wow! Just Wow! You will either love or hate this book. I personally LOVED it. Tarryn Fisher gives you a story from everyone’s point of view and in this installment of the Love Me With Lies trilogy we hear Dirty Red’s (Leah) Side.
I definitely recommend reading book 1 in this Series first. The author does an excellent job recapping all the previous events but this time they’re told from a different point of view.
This story is like nothing I’ve read before. This isn’t your typical romance with bells and whistles. This is a love triangle that spans over a decade and shows what each person involved has endured and given to have their happily ever after. Leah is complex and deceitful. She manipulates and lies to get what she wants but what you soon realize is this is a common trend amongst this love triangle.
You will literally hate Leah and think the worst of her but as the story unfolds you find that there is more to her than meets the eye. Yes she’s selfish and downright vindictive but she longs for something she’s never felt. In the end each character is trying to find their happiness but at what cost?
Tarryn Fisher will have you on the edge of your seat with this Perfectly crafted original.
I listened to this on audio and it was my first time hearing Luci Christian perform and perform she does. She portrays Leah EXACTLY how I envisioned her and it’s FANTASTIC!!

Wow!! So I’ve heard so much about this series and I’ve had it on my TBR for months and finally decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did.
Tarryn Fisher can twist a story and really make you think. Missed opportunities and wrong decisions can change the course of your life and Olivia and Caleb learn this the hard way.
A love so deep and all consuming that it literally tears them apart only to test their feelings on more than one occasion.
This story left me with knots in my stomach and tears in my eyes but it was so real and thought provoking that I can’t help but to love the authors ability to create something so unique.
Olivia is definitely a character that you could really hate but I found that I connected with her and understood her motivation for the choices she made and let me tell you, she makes some really bad choices. But that’s the part that made her so real. How far would you go for the person you love and when do you realize that loving someone else means loving them more than yourself.
Andi Arndt’s interpretation of Olivia was exactly how I pictured her. She breathed life into Olivia’s character and completely connects you to the story. I devoured this book!!
Fantastic listen! And there was even a sneak peek at book 2, Dirty Red which I’m starting next!! Loved it!!
